Prejudices? OK sure. It's based on results and criticism of Marsch's ineffective tactics and poor game management.
Leeds fans worried they will put another AMERICAN in charge. Now... for entertainment value, that would be amazing!
I think some of the concerns about Jesse tactically are a bit overblown but I cannot say a change had to be made. The defense was just not getting better and despite creating some good chances goals had dried up.
Seems not realistic that after Marsch is fired that they would turn to a Berhalter or Curtain. Armas is notably not leaving with the other staffers who were also let go. Wonder if he'll get to be interim till they hire someone. Well it'd at least give us a good comparison of Berhalter versus Marsch in similar situations.
I feel like I am going to be saying this a lot in the coming weeks, but as far as Marsch to the NT: please no.
Well, it sucks..................but not unexpected. There's too much at stake. I just have no clue who they change to. Dyche was sorta the obvious available guy for a relegation scrap..................... And yes: Marsch immediately becomes a USMNT coaching candidate.
This would also be a spot if the 49ers wanted to splash some cash and hire a big name manager. The money is worth it given how much staying up will impact the value of Leeds.
That definitely made it surprising to me as I thought he would get a few games with the new signings at least. Does Weston McKennie even come to Leeds if Marsch isn't the coach?
Eh. You're implying that the Leeds board makes logical decisions...................... Yes, it would have been logical to make a change after the Villa game on January 13th. That to me was the game in which it looked like his time was running out. But he held on for some cup games and for that frustrating match against Brentford. THAT's the one that got away for me. If they had won that home game against Brentford, I think he makes it to the end of the season.
If you believe Wes's friend on Twitter? Yes. He was more interested in playing with Tyler than anything else. Basically Everton, Wolves, and Leicester all winning this weekend forced Leeds's hand. Bottom of the table is tight.
there is no one- in the world- other than us fans who are remotely surprised by this. theres no lack of logic. to anyone with any sense at all this is no different than announcing they are going to a new pitch-watering system. "hm, ok".
I am generally skeptical of random twitter dude who claims to be McKennie’s friend. That doesn’t mean it’s not true in this particular situation. But Adams also never comes to Leeds if Marsch is not the coach either. Aaronson seems like he would have either way though.
Jesse's problem was that his system worked pretty well against teams that attacked, i.e., the upper tier teams, but didn't work against teams who sat back. He had no plan B. He was tactically naive. Live by Gegenscheiße, die by Gegenscheiße.
Ditto - I think he's worse than Berhalter as a tactician and I hate the Red Bull way even if Leeds was entertaining. If we want to progress past the round of 16 at a WC, running our balls off every game doesn't seem like the answer.
Not surprising. And not really unfair. But I kinda hope Leeds go down and that Adams, McKennie and Aaronson all find their way to better spots this summer.
