Fortunately,it's the start of the WC cycle,so all the Yanks can all find jobs in the summer.Too bad they'll be on the bench the rest of the year.

I can’t see Adams going to the bench. Aaronson and McKennie not quite as sure.

The new manager couldn't be stupid enough to drop Adams from the starting 11.... he has been one of the best CDMs in the EPL all year. But the others will have to earn their spots just like everyone else.

I thought Marsch may get one or two more matches, and figured Leeds would not want to throw a new manager or interim manager to the wolves vs Man United home and away.
But, if we are being unbiased, sacking Jesse is not a bad decision. They are sliding the wrong way in the table, and his lack of in-game management and tactical flexibility cannot be covered up by all the "Rah Rah" speech.
Nottingham Forest was shocking and Leeds had to get at least a point there. Of course, I think Bamford and Sinisterra personally owe Jesse apologies for blowing great chances and costing him.

I like the guy and hope he gets another chance and another gig. But you could tell even the players had given up hope.
I think all the Leeds signings this window served 2 purposes: 1) yes, they were trying to strengthen the squad via spending and 2) they were giving Jesse enough rope to hang himself if results did not shift.

Wes and BA will need to earn their way onto the field. Adams will continue to start based on his reputable metrics, unless he starts putting in disaster shifts.

Cannot believe it took Leeds that long to let him go.

USSF: Just say NO! I think this is bad for Aaronson, might be bad for Adams at some point depending on how the new gaffer sets them up. McKennie may be the only Yank they hold on to.

But McKennie eats too much pizza according to some expert here.

He will fit that team just fine. He can be streaky, when he's cold he's fat but when he's playing good everyone seems to forget.

Who’s going to play in midfield over BA and WM?

It definitely looks like Bamford and Sinesterra were ready for a new coach. Pathetic efforts by both of them yesterday.

Did you not watch yesterday? neither started. They have a few who can slot in for BA, Sinisterra Summerville, Harrison, Gnonto, etc.
Dependent on how Leeds continue to play, Roca may play in place of Wes at times.

BA has been pretty poor the past couple months. I believe he can get back in the starting 11, but he has to produce.
Obviously Wes will just need a little time to acclimate, but he is a great player, so I bet he will make the starting 11 frequently.

Are you preparing to call me a 'hater' again for honest takes? lol

Can't believe that the McKennie&Marsch era was one match.

    Marsch sacked (and rightfully so).

Didn't like Adams and Aaronson being at the same club. Warned against it at the time. Now McKennie is in the dumpster fire with them. Not good.

I don’t think the guys you mentioned play much midfield. I suppose Harrison and Summerville maybe, but Brenden’s been better than both of them.

I did watch yesterday. Don’t remember Harrison touching the ball.

Harrison was shamefully anonymous yesterday but this is simply untrue. Aaronson's season mirrors the club actually: decent, occasionally dominant...but has VERY little in the way of results to show for the efforts.

Nobody can question his engine and pressing ability but Brendan's early run of good form evaporated just a bit before WC camp. Whether the physicality of PL started to wear him down or he lacked confidence, he wasn't having an impact on the scoreline. Marsch should've sat him and in the end the failure to do so (partially) cost him his job.

On topic, Leeds best 11 right now should include Wes not Aaronson.

Still perplexed at this move for McKennie. I have no problem with leaving Juventus, who are a mess and could be hit with further penalties, but jumping right Leeds who are now spending their second season hoping to escape relegation makes me scratch my head. He had other admirers if the reports were true. Ultimately it's on the players, but man, I really think some of our guys could be getting better advice from people surrounding them.

He spends 4 months playing with his BFF in a league he's always wanted to join. If they drop he's free and clear. If they stay up it's likely because of him and he's not on such a crappy team after all. Bonus is he could leave for another club who scouts him.

Marsch's firing and/or LUFC relegation battle have no longterm negative impact on Wes. Absolutely nothing suspect about his decision making here

Being part of yesterdays starters is not exactly a resume builder however…

The rumor is that the relationship Victor Orta (LUFC sporting director) has with Giovanni Manna (Juve's u23 sporting director and allegedly next in line for the senior team job) is what allowed Leeds to snag Weston in the first place: https://ukdaily.news/yorkshire/leed...ls-to-complete-elland-road-move-10-61822.html

When the "WM to LUFC" rumors first began, Orta gave a quote to some outlet that basically said "yeah, I've been a fan of the player since he was in Shalke's academy". I think the Marsch relationship / Leeds United States was a narrative cooked up by the marketing team... Adams being there is just a nice bonus.

McKennie has the quality and attitude, he will earn a starting spot**

**Remembers an Alan Pardew basically refused to play Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano while in a relegation battle

    OK

Maybe my post was misinterpreted. Wes and Adams are BFFs...your point about Orta and Manna linking up for this deal makes sense but Leeds w/o Adams could never have signed McKennie (imho)

I too was perplexed hearing Wes and Marsch had "history" and chalk it up to poor reporting because he's never been managed by JM at club level or played in RB system. There are tenuous similarities between Wagner's style at Schalke and Marschball but maybe folks are referring to Marsch's time as MNT assistant? I didn't think he and Wes overlapped at NT level...but who knows

Yeah, I'm not disagreeing with you, I think that Weston to Leeds could've happened with a different manager. I'm not entirely sure that Adams was part of the deciding factor, but it defintely didn't hurt!

Maybe they will find a coach that will want a packed midfield and less wingers playing in the midfield doing the same exact thing that the assigned winger position does. Or even a 4-4-2 of some type which allows a speedster to run off of Bamford.

but yeah yesterdays performance was crap. It is, find a nugget and thrive on a nugget and expect the opposition to maneuver to stopping that nugget then create a new nugget. Jesse should have knew that the Gnoto nugget would have been figured out by now and sold the pretending to want to use that nugget then put in Rutter over on the other side to play give and go with Bamford Summerville looked out of sync and unmotivated. I thought Bamford looked okay and strujik and Cooper are a calamity of misfortunes and lost points. They should play in a more structured defense.
