    You didn't read it correctly.

I have said it many, many times. Ronaldo should retire.

He can't change the game alone anymore and this team doesn't have the midfield to beat any of the top teams.

Yes time will tell and I will remind you how wrong you have been so many times on this forum.

I will support our coach no matter what but I would like him to change the tactics he used at Belgium, basically a 3x4x3 and would love to see a 4x3x1x2 or to put it simply a 4x4x2 diamond, to maximise the number of midfielders we have and a goof ofensive midfielder like Fernandes behind Felix and Ramos or Jota, even Leão if he is able to adapt into that position (he did it before Milan).

It's the best way to force our game going through the middle and having a possession based game instead relying on transitions and lots of crosses into the area.

I want a football of combinations where everybody is involved in the attack, not a team adapting to the opponent.

Of course this has to be done without Ronaldo, we need to give him a goodbye game and it's time to move on from that era, he has no place in our starting 11, if Martinez keeps calling him up I will turn against him.

Then we need to see what's going to happen to the 3 City players, their WC was crap and basically Guardiola doesn't seem to count on them too much this days, they better find other clubs, and let's see if Felix finds his way.

And oh, for those who are always saying Sanches should be called the other day I watched PSG on the French Cup game against a team from the 6th or 7th Division in France he was absolutelly horrendous, it's really hard to understand where does his popularity comes, because it certainly isn't based on what he does inside the pitch ...

If only we had the players that can play this style.

I hope not also. We need to play without him.

Bernardo Silva is done. He has been declining for the past three years.
Cancelo wont start for Portugal anyways so he will be the back up.
Dias will be given his chances.

    Vitinha wasn't much better.
Sanches has played great for Portugal but I haven't watch a game for club he has looked as good as with Portugal.

We have nothing in the midfield except a lot of broken hope.

So Mourinho still in the running to be Brazil NT coach . If he takes the job after rejecting Portugal …. What a traitor prick.

The best chance we had at Mourinho was when he left Real Madrid and Ronaldo and Pepe were still young.

Mourinho wont coach Portugal unless he thinks we can win or he has run out of options.

    Really? Miles?

Vitinha 20 games played - no assists no goals?
Sanches 14 goals played - 2 goals from a defensive position.

I look beyond this. With Messi, Mbappe and/or Neymar on the field Vitinha should have all sorts of space and yet never makes the stat sheet.

His pass % is always top notch but he plays safe. Makes the safe pass so he wont lose the game but he wont win it for your team either.

I see him as coming off the bench to secure a lead.

Sanches' popularity based on his NT performance in 2016. Did it once, can do it again theory. Nothing more complicated.

He has played well when called on for Portugal but has disappointed beyond. Sometimes players give all there heart and soul when playing for the national team. Renato was that type of player. I would rather have that then Fernandes who only cares about himself. Santos preferred playing players that were starting for their club team.

He assumed they were in shape to play the full 90. Because Renato rarely started after leaving Benfica he was used in a reserve roll for Portugal.

I have been disappointed because I expected him to be the controlling-mid/defensive mid we have so desperately needed.

Now we find outselves in need of top wingers and at least one exceptional midfielder.

Sanches is terrible, always injured, he has no present and no future for Portugal. I agree that I expected more from Vitinha but at least he plays, Sanches barely plays and he is permanently injured, it's crazy how people here think he is a great player, he never was.

I agree our future midfield looks awful. Danilo will likely play the defensive mid role as long as he is starting @ PSG unless he is used at CB. If that is the case our Defensive Mid role will be a revolving door.

Fernandes will likely start for two more years and will play well against weak teams and disappear against good teams.

The other midfield position will be a revolving door as its been for the past 13 years.

Our wingers will be whoever is healthy and playing for the club.
