Stranger things have happened. However Leeds need to get enough results the rest of the season to save Jesse's job and keep them from getting relegated. It's looking increasingly unlikely that that will happen.
I'm struggling to see where Leeds will pick up enough points to stay up.
Leeds have 8 away matches remaining. In the 10 away matches they've played so far, they've managed one win and two draws.
Leeds have 8 home matches remaining:
Man Utd, Southampton, Brighton, Palace, Liverpool, Leicester, Newcastle, and Spurs.
So, either Leeds are going to put together a miraculous string of good results (and major upsets), or they're going down, despite the board backing Jesse in the summer and January transfer windows more than any other Leeds manager in recent memory has been backed.

So the number three relegation spot is basically a free-flowing spot that is going to come down to overall form (obviously).

Wolverhampton: That morale boost of completely dismantling Liverpool is going to give them belief to stay up. I no longer consider them drop possibilities barring an ice cold dip in form. Verdict: 14th

Forest: Thats a huge win for them today, and theyre starting to believe, but I am not completely convinced theyre out of the woods yet (no pun intended). Verdict: 16th
West Ham: Watching their game against Newcastle, I get a feeling theyre starting to gather belief that theyre a good side. But boy they can be fragile sometimes, they could easily get dragged back in. Verdict: 15th
Everton: This is all about how they respond after that Arsenal win. Does Dyche give them that belief to stay up? Thats a big morale boost for sure. I just dont think they went out and got the help they needed to survive in January. Verdict: 18th, third relegation drop
Leeds: they’ve bought enough quality to survive this. Weston is going to be crucial firvtheufvhioes. But nsn did they need another center back badly. I can’t believe they didn’t see that. These championship retreads aren’t enough. 17th......survive barely, deja vu

For anyone else besides Leeds, Everton, West Ham, or Nottingham Forest to get sucked into it, I think theyre going to have to undergo an unprecedented ice cold streak to get dragged in (but those random events always seem to happen.

If Leeds go down it won't be because of missed chances in front of goal, although hat has hurt them at times.

It'll be because of all the times the didn't even get a point/draw. Which is a result of poor tactics and refusal to change from Marsch.

A more conservative and compact approach would see them getting a few more draws where those points are of great value.

That’s where I feel like Dyche might be able to move the needle at Everton. He’s all about fighting for results. Even if it doesn’t look appealing.

yup that’s absolutely the frightening thing about this hire. He doesn’t care about your feelings and will play ugly soccer to ensure survival. And Everton are perfectly built for ugly soccer

Obviously I think "we" as in Americans, decided to put our players all on the same Premier League team, and I am opposed to this and voted against it but what can you do with the electoral college...

Pretty much the same tune on every Leeds youtube channel. They want Marsch gone asap. The anger is palpable.

I think it's the end of the road for Jesse. Tough break on the Rodrigo injury. You'd think he might have scored today. Who will replace Jesse?

His unwillingness to adjust his approach, I believe, makes this a deserved firing.

Man U will be missing Casemiro for both games and Erickson is also out.

I think getting a result in the home match seems possible.

Should we give a crap what Leeds fans think? I for one don't care about their prejudices...

It's weird but Leeds approach seems to work better against team higher up in the table, but they tend to play down to teams on their end so maybe a couple of games against higher level teams will suit them.

I do think the clock is ticking thought for Jesse. The board may look at what happened to Everton and Wolves with their "new-manager bounce" and think this is a solution to their relegation woes. Not good for the USMNT in general if they go down, 3 key players in the lower level, it'll be another set back for US/MLS-made managers trying to cut it in Europe...

Is it "prejudices" when they watch every Leeds game religiously, probably unlike you?
If they're really so "prejudiced" do they also want Tyler Adams gone?
Is Leeds fans being "prejudiced" the reason they're in a relegation battle once again, or do the players and coaches bear any responsibility?

You have to evaluate model by end results, if predictions consistently match results it means model was built correctly. So get back here on Sunday and compare.

    1. All American sports movies are inherently trash
    2. There are only two watchable sports movies, Chariots of Fire and The Damned United

We've been in the same place with Jesse and Leeds for quite a while.
They're in every game, have chances to score, and just don't do it.
They just aren't picking up the points.

[I will say this, Jesse has managed to eek out results whenever he's seemingly been in trouble. It would be totally on-brand for his tenure for them to now get a result against ManU.]

Many other teams down in the bottom have made a coaching change. Wolves, Everton, Bournemouth, Southampton, etc.

Is it necessarily fair? No. That's the premier league, though. There's too much at stake. That's the good and bad of the Premier League. If he doesn't get a result mid-week, they'll probably make a change. To who? Hell if I know.

And if they don't make a change, and manage to stay up..................I'd still make a change in the summer.

We all like Jesse, but is the team growing and building since Bielsa left? Not really. No. They need to flip the script somehow.

And I'll just finish by saying this Leeds team has more talent than the one Bob Bradley had at Swansea. This team does have the talent to be higher up in the table. I'm convinced of it.

Well I guess he wasn’t getting the next four games to try and turn this around.

Those who said he was on his way out imminently were very much right.
