Is this going to be like the Nats board with knee jerk reactions to everything but not like oh no they scored but knee jerk reaction like we’re ruined. I hope not. missing a CAM like Aaronson. That connecting piece or maybe even McKennie. 2-1 if they could get some finishers. A little gingerly in lineup choice as far as players that could get stuck in up front.
Whats crazy is that Wober has looked so much better at CB than I ever expected ... and it's still not enough for Leeds lol.
Commentators rightly blasted Sinisterra for the gawd awful miss. Commentators both said what I was thinking: that Leeds really should be level
Sinisterra has to make that. That is brutal. refs did miss an offside call on the goal, but Struyk had a brutal 2 minutes that cost Leeds. Wober looks great. Leeds need a goal this half. It’s just that their final decision or touch in the last third is rough. Jesus, Bamford playing like a geriatric in an over 45 league. just missed an easy touch, and Leeds blow another shot on goal. I can’t stress this enough, NF look so bad right now. It would be criminal to not come away with points today
Bamford completely whiffs on a ball in the box lol no matter how this season ends this is one entertaining team to watch
Not sure what you’re on about. American fans with concerns about an American coach is exactly what this forum is for. They haven’t won since November and are losing what many consider a must win. Of course people will express their concerns. And they aren’t missing Aaronson. He lost his spot in the starting eleven if you’ve been watching at all recently. Hopefully he can make a sub appearance and be productive.
Leeds are so much better than forest today… but Struijk is having his worst game of the season. Navas is looking solid
With all due respect, what has Aaronson done in the final third this season that has led you to think he will piece this all together? Even the most ardent Aaronson fans has said recently he needs to sit for a bit, come on as a sub. He has just not played well lately, but I am rooting for him to pick it up.
WRT to bolded, I posted elsewhere on Big Soccer that Leeds have to outscore their defensive woes. Leeds need to pray to all the gods because luck is just not on their side.
Navas not making mistakes. Finishing could be a bit more clinical. Leeds could really use a goal here before half.
This match is dreadful. I watch my team battle in the SPFL every week so I’m well equipped to judge dreadful. Horrendous passing. Heavy touches. Two teams clogged up on the pitch whether it be wide or down the middle. Just a herd of 20 players chasing a ball. Bamford looks like a u14 player with his misses, whiffs, and heavy touches.
Ok I hate to pile on players but good lord bamford is bad. the fact that this team hasn't upgraded the striker spot even more and decided to stick with bamford is a bad sign (from what I understand Rutter is more of a second striker type and not an out and out 9 like Bamford)
Man, this sucks. I, and others, can keep saying Leeds look so much better - which is true. They’ve often looked the better team and lost points. But you have to get results. even the commentators are mentioning how Leeds is the better side. Hair-pulling stuff
I absolutely agree he needed to sit for a while and and had unearned his starting spot. He also desperately needs to put on some weight this off season. That being said, this game shows that the 10 in a chaotic high press system just isn't a position that will shine. I don't even know who is the 10 this game (FotMob says Harrison but it sure doesn't seem like that), but there is nothing in this Leeds offensive game plan that seems to be able to make use of the 10 or bring the best out of them.
Bamford was done 2 seasons ago, and injuries have taken their toll. He looked great the other day, Vs THIRD DIVISION talent. Aaronson will make an appearance at some point, as will the new striker. Time for BA to make a difference and earn that 30 million
Bamford was both not tidy with his touches and seemed to be playing least within the system. Watching Harrison run past him to pressure the last defender… Leeds has it in them. I’d expect to see early subs and at this point I wouldn’t mind seeing Gnotto or anybody else up top. Gnotto has been great.
