A gap is beginning to open between the top two and the rest, as I expected. I will admit, though, that I thought it would be Ipswich and Wednesday, with Plymouth falling off. I still don't think Wednesday have gelled to the extent that I thought they would've by now ... in attack. But defensively ... golly, they have to be a problem to play against. They aren't conceding much in goals, and according to all accounts I've read, there's little to be had in chances, either. They're big and strong and just a lot to handle for most teams in this division. If Gregory and Smith get back amongst the goals, I think we could see them pull away (if we're not seeing that already).
The Kop is empty. Dunno why. Obviously sales will be down, so they won't open the whole stadium up. But the Kop empty doesn't look right at all.
Frustrating match to watch imho Felt like we should won this one going away and yet we were barely able to come away with a draw... at home.
I wondered about that as well... maybe they didn't sell enough tickets to merit opening the kop? #1 vs #2 we have them at home...
Plymouth match sold out. They sold all of their 3700 allotment, which is not bad considering the distance they'll be covering. Should be a cracking atmosphere tomorrow. I'm sure the section between the north and west stands won't be sold, for policing/safety reasons, but it'll still be around 37k for a 3rd tier league game in February. Only in England.
Apparently, the lads over at OwlsTalk, any UK IP addresses won't be able to watch on iFollow... Which I find odd because it sold out...
Top of the table! A combined total of 18 minutes stoppage time. Refs were sketchy in the 2nd half. Could have sworn I saw them tradings shirts with Plymouth players after the game...
Sounds as though Wednesday were fairly dominant and in control pretty much throughout. That is a really solid performance and a superb result. Everyone else is playing for the other automatic spot, because Wednesday are going up.
It was weird because the second half we definitely did dominate but first half I'd say not so much...
