Barella. Different from Bellingham but a brilliant player.

Can't wait to hear how not-mediocre Brahim is from the 'everybody is mediocre' brigade:cool:

Lol, do we have some secret deal with Brazilian government? We're trying to have 100% Brazilian 1st 11? :ROFLMAO:

Not that there's anything wrong with that ofc, it's just funny we're only going for Brazilian teenagers lately

As good as Bellingham but less attainable.

But the point is that we don't need either just because they are top class. They would be luxury signings since the midfield three is already set with CTV. What we actually need in midfield is someone Ceballos level, which on this board would be deemed worse than mediocre, but in reality would be a solid depth player (ex, Tielemans, Sabitzer, Zubimendi etc) to occasionally rest the starters. I'd rather have Modric and Kroos agree to becoming backups but good luck convincing them.

Its attack where we should spend: Osimhen, Leao, Diaby, Saka, Coman should be the main targets. But since they are not Mbappe or Haaland, people would call them mediocre smh

I actually can't believe in this day and age they are still people who believe players are telling the Carlo where they want to play and if they should start or not, i mean, it sounds good to shore up a narrative but there isn't a shred of evidence to back up any of it (some random tweet perhaps?) except some people believing they know better and are better coaches than Carlo, who works with the players face to face day in and day out, and they just don't like how he sets up the team.

Same as last season it's just that at the end of it they had to be quiet, ( the next comment will probably be "luck", lucky to win trophies in Italy, Germany, England, France and Spain, not to mention a title winner as a player himself, no player has anything on Carlo), maybe we should turn the team over to them

Didn't Carlo himself confirm that the players told him which position they prefer?

I keep reading this, but I've yet to see him make his debut. I can't even recall him being on the bench, let alone making 2 or 3 mins as a sub. If they really believe they have a top future RB, then maybe...give him some spare minutes? If not this season (where the starting RB and his back up have been injured for the majority of time), then when? Anyway, haven't seen him play so not even sure if he's good, but I'd love to have a different flavour on that position, as it'd be impossible for him to do worse than Carvajal and Lucas this season.

Not better than Asensio in the slightest. If even say considerably worse in terms of overall body of work.

Better dribbler than Asensio but doesn't have his shot. They are at the same level pretty much and are not consistent.

Asensio has some absolute bangers to his name. The guy is either cold or scorching hot.

    Yes

    Realmadrid would not sign RB
    Realmadrid wouldn't sign Lb
    Realmadrid wouldn't sign striker
    Realmadrid wouldn't sign midfielder

Because JAS and Perez are not capable enough and we either have a player nor plan to cover these positions

These positions need reinforcement since two season and still our JAS and pèrez are blind eyed and living in their own dream world

Wouldn’t it make more sense to compare in the future. Marco is 27, if Brahim comes who is 23 see what he can accomplish by a similar age? Also Marco does scores some bangers but is a liability all around… you put up with that for a Cristiano type player but not Marco. That said I haven’t followed Brahim, so don’t know what his work rate is like.

I'd have both around next season as rotational pieces. Roster spot freed up with Mariano's deal expiring.

Both players have their strengths but overall neither player all that better than the other.

Not me. The second Asensio isn’t playing for a contract he’s in coast mode. He had plenty of time to make the position his own, too much of an energy vampire on the pitch outside his Marco Moments. He’s doing well right now but that’s just the contract motivation most likely.

We hear about Brahim once every 4 months or so. I'm not a fan. At his best he's as good as ISco was. That's at the height of his potential, considering the amount of headaches his father put the club through, not sure he was worth it.

I think at that level the talent pool is wide.

The second the ink drys, Asensio will go back to his bullshit of losing the ball, no effort to win it back, no tracking back, ect….

    But Flo is gonna Flo….

Asensio as a rotational piece I said. He's not expecting to be a starter and he's not going to break the wage structure. I'm not fussed whether we retain the player or not, but it's not going to hurt having a player come off the bench who we know can provide some La Liga goals.

Asensio does not want to rotate. He wants consistency and minutes no matter how bad he plays from the bench it starting. He’s busting his ass right now to secure an extension, as he knows that he’d rather be at Madrid enjoying the celebrity and prestige at the club than playing more in Italy or wherever.

His attitude is total shit. Why just now is he working hard when he could have been doing that all along? I’d bet anything he’s going to revert back to his old ways as soon as he gets that extension. A worthless player to soak up a first team spot like Hazard/Mariano/Isco
