Apple TV is live with MLS content: https://tv.apple.com/us/episode/columbus-crew/umc.cmc.73unhjxt7ov49l8xbdxhgxd5n
Looks like they have all the MLS cups on there as well(not sure if it’s the full game or a highlights thing). Some “classic” games(only 2 Crew games though). Looking forward to how it plays out.
Season ticket holders get 1 access code per account but we have multiple seats. They said you can share with up to 5 people using apple's family share plan, but does that cost? I don't have apple tv or apple tv+. I am only going to use this for the Crew and am hoping to pay nothing, but I'm not sure that is possible. Does anyone know?
Can I do that without Apple devices? I'm Android along with my brother, but my parents are both Apple.
I believe ATV+ is available on *some* Android TV devices like Fire TV, Android TV, and Roku. It is also available on most smart TV platforms. But, the app isn't available on standard Android tablets and phones. That means I'll be able to watch at home, but it'll be hard for me to watch mobile, as I have a Pixel. I'll miss streaming on the fly. (Or hope that Apple releases an already functioning Android app to the greater Android ecosystem). I might look into sideloading, too.
I'll only be watching on a TV, not mobile - I just figured I'd need an Apple app or something on my phone. If I can just log in on my TV, as well as my family on theirs with the TV app, then we should be good to go I guess.
Per The Athletic. "By the end of this month, when the 2023 season gets underway, match windows will include a half-hour national pregame show, a match-specific primer in each stadium, a halftime show and a national post-match show. " They have also committed to having on site announcers for every match the first season. Nothing beyond that at this time however.
I have multiple Nvidia Shield Android TV devices, and this annoys me. Hopefully, pirate TV can pick up the slack on the phone/tablet side of things.
It shows as available on Google Play. Though with Android I never know what devices are compatible and which are not. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apple.atve.sony.appletv&hl=en_US&gl=US Also see this. https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/2021/06/01/shield-apple-tv/
I'll use my PS4 to watch on my Android TV and the web browser to watch on my Android phone (on the rare occasion that will be a thing I'll want to do).
Here's a development (to me, at least): "The home team's radio broadcast will also integrate with MLS Season Pass, and there have been reports that the visiting radio broadcast could also be integrated in the future." So I guess we'll have to put up with not-Chris Doran for the away games. https://www.dispatch.com/story/spor...crew-on-mls-season-pass-apple-tv/69855528007/
Ahh yeah apparently that is coming. But not sure when. https://9to5mac.com/2022/12/20/apple-tv-app-for-android/
You can open Apple TV through the Chrome Browser on a Pixel 6 and watch shows and MLS Programming through the browser on your phone without downloading any app.
I missed the window where seats could be severed off from the original account (not that I would have done so, in all reality). No. We have Geeg in our family as a "cost-saving deal." I do not know where a cost would occur. You are not required to pay for APPLE TV+. How I understand it, you would be using the APPLE TV+ app to access MLS Season Pass (though I may have missed something along the way, I am fairly busy).
