Mourinho: Speaking at a press conference after Roma’s 2-1 defeat at the Stadio Maradona, Mourinho was asked about Osimhen in comparison with a player he worked with at Chelsea, the legend Drogba. “He is of the same level as Drogba, but Didier didn’t dive,” replied Mou. “If Victor changes, then OK. I’d buy him if I was at a club with a lot of money. However, if he does go to England one day, he needs to change, because in Italy they put up with this sort of behaviour, whereas in the Premier League, they’d come down hard on him.” Drogba:
It's been a long time since I've seen a match from start to finish. But yesterday, Napoli kept me watching TV: a beautiful game, quick passes, attacking every minute Also Roma played well sometimes, especially before their goal.
Having Simeone and Raspadori off the bench isn't fair lol. This is by far the deepest team we've ever had. We can actually make a run in the UCL this year too which would change everything for us going forward .. Especially with the condition of the other clubs in Italy. We're in the best shape financially, with the best team.
By my math Napoli has earned in 18m in coefficient, 16m for group qualification, 14m winnings so far. That's excluding the broadcast money divided amongst 78 teams (share of 300 million based on numbers that are either not yet known [total number of games played], or known only to UEFA [broadcast deal values by nation]). There's another 50m on the table for performance if Napoli won it all, plus about 5m for super cup.
I don't like the conciliatory mourinho, it's fake. But he's fallen so far. No top job, just roma. Lol @windrepel @Nainggolan
Sunday will be at Spezia, refereed by Marco Di Bello. There's not a lot of history with Spezia, eight wins and two losses across ten games, most in Serie A within the last couple years.
Spezia missing 9 players and maybe the coach will not make it to the stadium as well. Must win. Furthermore, after our game ends today, let's all don our AC Milan affections and push them towards either a victory or a draw.
Going got tough so the tough got going. Glad to see us step it up when we had to and finish the game well. What an incredible season so far.
Napoli is on a roll. Victor Osimhen was a great find and he only recently just turned 24. If he keeps up his form, he can easily be there for another 4-5 years.
I still think we need to stay very calm. A long way to go. We have to win the next 4 games before the double against Lazio and Atalanta.
We could lose Osimhen and Kvara to injury and still probably win the league with Simeone and Raspadori leading us up front. We have every reason to be confident.
