Stupid owner (Levy). I remember there being heavy rumors and discussions on Tottenham forums about KMJ coming.
vaguely remember...something about "certain" paperwork being late or something...went down the wire on that one.
Work permit perhaps? CGS could not get one for England- his agent had checked. Not sure if KMJ had the 15 required points back then.
13 points clear with no mistakes leading to goal and helluva lot of clearances and crucial blocks. Not to mention the bolstering 90yard run in a counter attack he created (led to a goal opportunity). Overall a 8/10 performance for me. Napoli are top 3 for CL chances imo.
From what I remember the deal was basically done but Tottenham didn't have any free foreign spots and couldn't offload anyone by the end of the window. I remember Mourinho saying that he was learning Korean to better communicate with Son but he said it during the KMJ window which was suspicious considering Son speaks decent enough english.
I only recall that it was down to the last day and never happened. and what a way for a second slap in the face of Levy...beginning to like Jose more n more!
I did watch it and I dont believe the story. KMJ was sold to Fener for 3m. That's 2m less than the supposed cheap offer.
think it was cheaper because it might be the time left in KMJ's contract...and no one else really came in for him
Lol.. Kim had flashbacks to playing with KSG and decided to do it himself. That was a close one though and imo, just as much on Meret as Kim.
he's either lying or is on the wrong side of dates. regardless, obviously still truth to matter that Spurs could have signed him in multiple windows had they wanted to get it done. Mou, Nuno, Conte all had the opportunity but common denominator is Levy lol. everyone used the China excuse. ADL and Giuntoli looking like geniuses for listening to Fabio Cannavaro. www.thesun.co.uk/sport/21196624/jose-mourinho-tottenham-transfer-manutd-kim-min-jae/amp/
If it really came down to the last day then that explanation wouldn't make much sense. Surely Tot could've swooped in and offered more than 3m. I don't know if Mourinho is lying but he's definitely stretching the truth or just misremembering details. KMJ was like Mourinho's 4th choice target and interest in him mostly came from Levy/Tottenham than Mourinho himself. I think Mourinho was just complimenting KMJ/Napoli before their match while also trying to gain a bit of credit by telling everyone he identified KMJ early and tried to sign him.
Re: Mitoma Nice purple patch, deserves the recognition 100%. But take it easy, he's scored 6 goals in all comps, all season. Son has played complete arse and has 8 goals not counting his assists. But certainly on track Mitoma to become Asia's next great attacking player if he holds trajectory.
What makes you people think you know what motivates Mourinho, are you his friend or his therapist? It was pretty obvious to me that he had a slipup in what he said, he's an old dude, he probably meant from Shanghai not from Fenerbahce, and got the numbers wrong. He does not care what nobodies think about him being genuine or not.
first things first, who are "you people?" get a grip of yourself. secondly, either you're trolling or genuinely naive. maybe so young that you haven't been following European football very long. as far as the self annointed "Special One" goes, you might be living under a rock. Jose Mourinho is the type of guy who if he'd be asked to speak to a group of school children, he'd tell them, "I invented football." Then if he were to be called out by the teachers he'd "revise" it on the dime to, "I invented modern football." Jose knows exactly what he's doing.
Yikes. Sure, I'm trolling, if that makes you happy. Just found it funny how you're living in your own world where you know so much about Mourinho and what is inside his mind.
