Everything I know about the Philadelphia Eagles, I learned from Silver Linings Playbook. I didn’t even know the 49ers were playing yesterday until I wondered why Safeway was so empty

I learned a valueable lesson... don't fight with random assholes on facebook about Equal Rights, Misogyny, Barack Obama and San Jose Earthquakes, you get suspended and deactivated for 30 days or more.
So half of this year’s Super Bowl spread has been confirmed to be a Philly cheesesteak. Will the other half of the spread be Midwestern BBQ ribs or Cincinnati Chili? GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
So disappointing, to wind up without a QB that could throw the ball. It's not going to be a competitive game at that point. I would have liked to have seen full strength vs. full strength (or something even remotely close). I think it would have been a relatively close game.

I am not an avid follower on the NFL as I used to be. I follow the Niners but don’t know every player as I did when Joe Montana and Steve Young played at QB. Back then I could name every player but also recall the QB position , in the Bill Walsh and George Seifert era anyway was always the best in the league. The Niners had Montana , Young and Bono. What I don’t understand is why didn’t the Niners go out and sign another QB to backup Brock Purdy? I know they already played above their head with a 3rd string QB but aren’t there any better free agent backups than Josh Johnson?
I was hoping for a Chiefs-Niners Super Bowl, but since I only watch for the ads, it doesn't matter a whole lot.
I was hoping for Bengals - Niners, a repeat of 1982, with Brock Purdy playing the role of Joe Montana. Unfortunately, tough to win a football game when your team is no longer capable of throwing a pass. Not sure I've ever seen that. The defense can just crowd the line of scrimmage + 10 yards and shut everything down.
I remember those days. That was when the 49ers were practically larger than life, or at least they seemed so. I’m not sure why. Was it because of salary cap issues? GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G

"Annie Wersching, ‘24’ Actor and Tess in ‘The Last of Us’ Video Game, Dies at 45" (Variety.com - Sunday, 1/29/23)
I was thinking of the salary cap but their injured QB’s are on the injured reserve list. You would think there would be a rule that excludes them from the cap especially since the NFL is all about protecting the QB and putting the best product on the field.
Has their ever been a team that lost their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th string quarterbacks by season’s end and wound up with 0? That game was like the Monty Python Black Knight sketch.
Broncos had entire QB roster ineligible due to Covid in game versus Saints in 2020. Receiver Kendall Hilton filled in. Colts RB Tom Matte was emergency QB for three games in mid-sixties.
Ouch. Philly’s a very good team but they’d better not be getting too full of themselves for beating a team without a QB or KC will eat their lunch in the SB.
