Caicedo had just turned 20 last January when he was signed as one for the future and the future came quickly.

If I were a shareholder in Todd B’s private equity firm I think I might check to make sure that equity wasn’t players.

I don’t think this is happening

Benfica wants 120 million upfront and Chelsea don’t have that kind of cash.

Hope they have a backup plan. Not much time and it would really suck if we end up losing the league because of a lack of depth.

Still say we should go for a 6mo loan for Rabiot. Throw Juventus 2-3m for a fee and cover his salary.

Rabiot starts a lot of games for them and they would want to replace him. Raise that loan fee to 5m and maybe a week ago it gets done. No chance they take that now.

They just let Mckennie for around there, and he’s better. I think they’d listen.

Rabiot is hot trash - worst idea ever

Tough his mum giving interviews about Arteta's trousers could be peak content

I get the feeling the man flesh deal will go through seeing the comments in the Athletic

the market is so absurdly overheated - it would be kind of hilarious if he never ends up playing much :D

I figured I'd open this thread to dozens of posts this morning, largely about the Caicedo deal. Instead it's relative silence.

So, assuming that in some fortuitous universe, they can get this deal done, do we have an expectation that Caicedo would be able to feature in our system right away, a la his "buddy" Trossard?

Or maybe Mikel will just give him a month to train with us, while he continues to lean on Partey & Xhaka? After all we're out of both domestic cups and UEL doesn't pick back up until March.

When has signing a aging Chelsea player ever worked out badly for Arsenal before?
