Might be time to cash in on Mo while he still retains some value.

Should have done so last summer before his value plummeted this season

Couldn't have last summer - with one year it would have been a cut rate price.

with 2 years we could still get 75m easy.

    Jeez.

I meant were seeing poor performance after performance this Season so the result and effort in the second half wasn't out of the blue.

    Reducing expectations to begin with.

It’s kind of sad that I have no reaction to that game. We have found a way to be more solid. Brighton didn’t play through us a at all like they did in the league. Both goals came from our newest problem…we can’t defend set pieces.

In the process we have lost our attacking threat. Why did we waste another 60 minutes with Nunez on the bench?

Maybe Klopp and the players can take something from that game, but I have no idea. I’m not that bothered by being out of the Cup, but I’m desperately looking for signs that we can go on a run, and I don’t see any. But maybe Klopp does. We will see.

I’m watching Jude Bellingham play now. He’s special. Would he join this mess? Maybe he likes the idea of being the savior and having a new look Liverpool be built around him.

Not a few years back. It was last year that we were in for every trophy available on the last day of the season something no other team has done. We've fallen off a cliff in comparison. everyone of our "starters" has been ineffective. Mo has been the biggest disappointment not just because of his big salary but because his miss fires has cost us a lot of points. It's not a lack of service it's constant poor touches, passes and shots. I'm sure it's driving him as crazy as it is me. I just don't know how it goes so wrong for so many players after a few months.

We need to get rid of the owners ASAP.

Any rebuild won't be funded by them because they never spend their own money to do so.
And we are in a world of problems.

I know I'm being dramatic but I'm totally ok with selling 70% of the squad at this point. I'll take a few seasons of building something cohesive and having some frustrating results to trotting out this motley crew of misfits and has beens, week after week.

the rebuild is bigger than I thought.

need a full 3 midfielders, another CB, a backup RB/LB, and maybe even a right sided attacker.

yes an attacker sounds crazy - but you can expect Jota to miss a chunk of every season.

It's so shocking how much we've fallen off this season . I'm looking at the squad with a much more discerning eye of late and we seem to have holes all over the place.

Which players would you definitely keep and rebuild the squad around?

I'd be willing to sell Thiago, Alison (don't want to) and VvD if it fixed our midfield and some defense.

I felt nothing after the loss. I turned the tv off and walked away. I hope the players are not in the same boat as I am, "oh well another L next game".

I expected so much more from Salah, that £400K salary is well worth it.
Curtis Jones. 22 years old. Nothing much to give.

The Gapko transfer, so Diaz and Jota play left wing mostly. Gapko has also played on the left, and you can argue that is his preferred position. When all 3 are fit what do we do there?

Salah has no one to sit him down. No one. With the poor games he is having, it is passing under the radar. There is no competition for him.

Elliot is played everywhere and as talented as he is, he keeps on running everywhere hounding down players, with no organised structure to his gameplay.

Fabinho has written off his own season.

Worrying times ahead, I wonder how acceptable this gets and how at peace we will be with it.

Mo can't lead a line alone. He churns a lot of chances. This is why Klopp has made Darwin the main goal threat output and pushed Salah to the wings.

He is lucky Darwin has taken the blame.

It is imperative that we complete at least 2 summer signings now. No idea where we will end up on the table and these young guns all want to play in the CL.

Even Klopp’s explanations now sound hollow. And tired.

"Heavy Metal Football" pretty much wrecked so many LFC players. When TTA, Robbo, Mo, Fab, Gomez, etc, are getting beat to 50/50 balls constantly, and younger quicker teams are doing exactly what we were doing to them 3 years ago, you can see the writing on the wall.
It's not humanly possible to press constantly on defense and then go all in on attack, with that high line. After 3 or 4 season of that kind of wear and tear, injuries skyrocket, and players slow down.
Unless we are willing to part ways with players who have passed their peak, teams like Brighton and the like are just going to outrun us.
Jurgen was a mastermind for 5 seasons, but his playbook is done. The whole league read it and know EXACTLY how to beat it now.
Either change playbook, or change the players.

Since you "know" these things in advance I suggest you play the lottery and that way you can retire from work to a life of ease.....
