Is this three clubs with some form BMO sponsorship now? Toronto, jersey and stadium. Montreal jersey and now LAFC stadium?

I don't know which club is worse at the moment, Everton or the Gs. Likely Everton because they just sold Gordon, they seem to have an internal struggle, they've had a coaching carousel after Moyes, reports that Bielsa doesn't want to join the club because of the overall state of ownership, FO, and personnel, and the feeling that the team will be relegated this year. Kinda of similar to the Gs in a way. A lot of different coaches, money has been spent, but poorly, FO issues, in the shadow of crosstown rival,

I would say Everton for sure are worse just because of the threat of relegation. If the money from the Gordon transfer are put to good use and we get the new coach bump in performance, maybe there's hope. Looks like Sean Dyche will be appointed as the new manager.

This really is great news. This is a big tournament that helps soccer development in this region, this country both at the fan's level and at the club and player level. They will also integrate SA teams in the coming Gold Cup and a women's version of the Gold Cup.

"Lionel Messi, Neymar and Marta could soon be coming to a city near you.

The United States will host the next men’s Copa America, the South American championship, in 2024. The tournament will include all 10 South American men’s teams as well as the six best teams from the North, Central American and Caribbean federation."

I read that Bielsa prefers to come over the summer rather than mid season because he'd have the entire off-season to prep the te and likely to get players that fit is style. If Dyche comes on-board, I'd assume it'd be for the long haul.

You really couldn’t write a better script for non-soccer fans than this Wrexham/Sheffield match. It’s vintage cup football. ESPN/Disney must be relishing every minute. It reminds me of the Drive to Survive series bringing new fans to F1.

I hope Apple will find a way to exploit the narrative possibilities in a similar way.

    And now a replay.

Apple should just dump truckloads of money Jason Sudekis’s front lawn to get him to do a 4th season of Ted Lasso where Ted comes home to coach in MLS.

I knew Danny Rojas was but I didn’t know the any of the others were. Was hoping Roy might have a soft spot for the Galaxy since he’s a Spurs fan and may have paid attention when Keaneo played for us.

For all you FIFA Club World Cup enthusiasts don't forget tomorrow Seattle Sounders steps up for the cause against Egypt's Al Ahli at the Grande Stade de Tanger in Tangier, Morocco. Winner to take on Real Madrid February 11 semifinal.

Match is Saturday at 9:30 pac time on Fox Sports 2.

This will be the first time for any MLS team to participate in this tournament as you will remember Galaxy had first won this special first-time honor back in 2000 but that was the year that the FIFA facade came down and Sepp lost his reign and we got to see the bloated pale underbelly of a very crooked organization that was selling itself to the highest bidder. Consequently, the tournament was cancelled and we got to suck on it as no do-over was offered when the tournament was re-established.

If you don't remember or didn't know, watch this vid of what happened which also has match snips of how we qualified to the tournament back then. Good times

Jesse Marsch just got sacked by Leeds. Cue the Marsch to coach the USMNT rumors.

The EPL is fun but I do wish American players and coaches looked for opportunities elsewhere.

I’d like to see Pulisic, McKennie, Aaronson, etc. in Italy or Spain.

McKennie was in Italy. Imagine jumping from Juventus to Leeds. But he's not the only one. West Ham was buying players off Barcelona not long ago. It just goes to show the purchasing power in England right now. It's becoming a de facto super league.

I doubt McKennie would be leaving Juventus if it weren't for the recent scandal where they were docked 15 points in Serie A, bans were given to management, and potential financial penalties. Barcelona have also had a lot of final issues in recent years, leading to more players leaving than you would expect from that team. Another thing to factor in is that for a lot of young American players it's their dream to play in the Premier League.

We all know that FIFA corruption was just an excuse. The rest of the world was scared to face LAG and cancelled the event rather than face the truth. At least that’s how I remember it.

What a bummer for the players. I think I had read or watched a video somewhere that one of the biggest disappointments for the Gs was missing out on the chance to play in the Santiago Bernabeu. Can you imagine being a guy on a $45,000 salary and getting to play in such a historic stadium and in front of that type of crowd.
