Depends on the terms of the loan and obligation to buy. If they are easily met, then it is not a bad deal at 35 million.

The here are quite a few worse players than Weston and some cost a lot more in wages.

Weston , because he is American in my opinion never got a fair shake at Juve.

He was never a superstar or anything like but I’ve also seen many worse players in the Serie A from Brazil and Argentina who came and went over the years who were worse but no one criticizes them because of their nationality.

Thats not true, he’s getting playing time over Italians like Fagioli Miretti

he is actually priced high and at these teams because he’s American. Its a market everyone wanna grab so they go for higher prices than an Asian or African player that could be better. Depending on what country you are, it impacts your price and whether a team even wants you.

    It is very true.

He is getting playing time because they are trying to showcase him for a transfer. That is not hard to see and it is a very common thing during transfer windows.

I’ve listened to many Italian sports commentators on Sky and Rai , Fulvio Collovati especially who criticize McKennie a great deal and have ever since he’s arrived.

They just don’t like his style or positioning and they keep saying he just can’t adapt to a team like Juve and the rigors of the Serie A.

Some of what they say is true and it may be merited to a point point but I think it’s a little exaggerated.

He is pretty much the first American to play in the Serie A since Alexi Lalas and there is still a great deal of stigma towards American players across most of Europe with maybe the exception on England.

Even there though they look down upon many American players….

    Leeds United notwithstanding..

Juve will get money for Weston so that's good for the club.

Juve supposedly trying to bring in Cambiaso before the window closes but Bologna doesn't want to let him go without a replacement.

Getting something in return for a player they presumably paid too much for is a trip down a recently untraveled path for Juve. Can't wait for them to trade their Stadium for a 2 year lease on a one bedroom cold water flat in the bad part of town.

    Not really.

They got two years of fairly decent prodcution from him and played in 70 games.

If he was crap, he wouldn't have appeared that many times on a team like Juve.

Also, McKennie certainly wasn't the reason Juve had been playing poorly.

He may have been a scapegoat but not the main reason.

When Juve loses twice in one season to a Serie B side in Monza, something else is up.

If their appeal falls through, I think they will lose a lot more than what they paid for Weston.

Listening to the Rain this morning, I think that is the worst of their troubles.

    Correction.

I meant listening to Rai Sport this morning, if their appeal falls through, I think they will lose a lot more than what they paid for Weston and he is the least of their troubles.

Why go to Real? So he can be a backup to Benzema and then after to Haaland when Benzema retires?

Raiola's death now seems to me to have been a travesty for a lot of top talent in Italy. There are no good agents left for them.

You guys believe any horse shit rumor. He didnt offer himself to RM, it’s typical last min clickbait.

I cant say enough about how infuriating it is when it comes to selling for us. FFS 1.2m for McK ??

sassuolo sold Traore for like 30m this last day?

bournemouth in relegation spent like 70M and we cant sell if our life depended on it

Kulu, Arthur, Zakaria, Rugani, De Sciglio, Higuain, Pellegrini, the list goes on and on and on….we are incapable of offloading anyone for any amount. Because we have become a joke and every team knows how to negotiate with us.

de ligt, demiral, romero all sold with very little profit. Even when we managed to land 3 young CBs, we somehow figured out a way NOT to cash out and stuck with Bonucci Rugani.

only sale we had was Bentancur and that’s because of Paratici

This is the transfer thread, where all rumors and transfer talk is posted, you don't like it dont participate. I'll keep reporting the rumors regardless.

Why would somebody pay top dollar for an average bench warmer like McKennie? The fact is we buy shit players then are shocked when no one wants to buy them at a ridiculous price.

McKennie isn't even worth what we would get if the option to buy is triggered, it's a good deal for Juve if Leeds buys.

Juve is ********ed anyways this summer, no CL and zero money. They are gonna sell like half the team anyway, not to mention the ones that will walk for free.

If you think this season is bad, wait until the next one.

If we dont somehow get out of this point deduction crap, its over for us as a club. Theres no bouncing back from this.

its at a point it doesn’t even matter how many scudetti we won, everyone considers us cheaters.

The club can bounce back with the right decision-making. Things were worse in 2007.

I wouldn't say that just yet, things are not looking good going forwards. And as Daei said, this is hurting the clubs image even more, if they didn't consider Juventus cheaters back in Calciopoli, this whole fiasco definitely will.

There will be question marks going forwards with every single thing this club does. Every little thing they do will be under a microscope.

This club has had a scandal almost every decade for the past 40 years, the doping scandal in the 90s, Calciopoli in the 00s and this bs now.

Yea they'll probably bounce back, but the image around the world keeps getting banged up.
