Fab gives the ball away with first touch, then gets a yellow with his second.

So glad we spent money on Gakpo and not someone like Mitoma.

That was a Salah-type goal from years past.

Very well taken goal, sends Joe for cigarettes, then calmly finishes.

The substitutions have not helped but rather taken us backwards in the game. Costly fouls especially Robbo's and the season continues to spiral downwards. :(

Sending a deep cross to a part of the box where the only player is the 5’7 or whatever Salah certainly is a strategy.

While this was a much better performance compared to a few weeks ago down there , we still look like a hopeless, mid table side.

Mitoma's goal was world class. Brighton were far better in the second half. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap to the opposition.

The sad thing for me is this result wasn't a big surprise. The latest golden era is well and truly over, we are a mid table team. How long we stay there is anybody's guess.

I think the scary part is that every one of our subs was utterly ineffective, if not downright calamitous

Sadly yes the team is a shadow of what we used to see a few years back when we had game changers all over the pitch. Today I couldn't see anyone out there capable of doing something very special and winning the game for us. We've got plenty of good players but nobody grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck . I thought Stefan was sound and continues to offer promise. Harvey played well and not sure why he was yanked .
The bench gave us nothing today . Hendo ,Fabinho and Jones were passengers once they came on and the def came under added pressure because of them .
