Reports suggest we are looking for one more forward this winter. Any new Brunos out there?

The only thing that makes sense is there's someone we view as a mid to long term solution who might be available on the cheap. Someone like Thuram who may be available for cheap or maybe the reports are wrong and we are trying to sign him in the summer.

Seems weird to be interested in another stop gap forward on loan unless Martial is out long term.

If anything, we should be looking at CMs on loan. There should be a good amount available that are improvements on McT.

Either way, we are really thin in the scoring and defensive mid departments. One injury to Rashford or Casemiro and our season could get derailed really quickly.

That's his entire career at United. The one constant in his toolbox.

i left him off the free transfer list due to age but Modrić is another one but he'll be 38. this one is purely informational.

still going strong though. the guy seems ageless

Look we will likely be selling AWB, Maga possibly Lindelof. We sell McT and Martial and there you go. Plus Jones comes off the books. Not to mention young players in Limbo like Axel and BW. There are plenty of players to move.

Plus, the race for a CL spot is over. Top 4 will be us, Arsenal, Citeh, and Newcastle. Liverpool and Chelsea are a mess and Spurs are Spurs. I can see Spurs taking 5th and Brighton taking 6 with Pool or Chelsea or Fulham taking 7th.

We have more flexibility than it looks. I just want us to find the best young 6 available like 19 or 20 In the Championship or the continent and get him for cheap now to train up to be Cas's understudy.

AWG is the best defensive RB around though

No, he’s not. You’re mistaking tackling with defending.

I don't view Thuram as a stop gap. I think if we consider Rashford to be a LW/IF (and we do) and we consider Tony isn't frequently available then Wout is the only proper CF at the club. ALSO I think given the holes in the squad, I'd be more than happy to have WW and Thuram as our CF options for next year it meant we signed an elite CM to play next to Case and an elite or elite potential GK to replace De Gea and decent RB depth.

The last thing Everton need is more players, but as a hypothetical... who would you loan them this window? It looks like they sold Gordon to Newcastle.

I think Gordon is overrated but he is a profile that Newcastle use currently so I guess it is a good move for both parties.

I think Elanga would do well for them or Pellistri.

Elanga, Williams, if Tuanzebe had not just returned from long term injury, he'd be the number 1 candidate.

I wonder what ETH thinks of Tuanzebe.

I'd forgotten Tuanzebe existed. I'd bet he has no future w/ United under EtH. Not good enough on the ball. He's like decent, but too slow, not instinctively good on the ball the way an EtH player needs to be.

Brilliant player but I just feel like he's gonna show up at PSG or Liverpool. Would love him as the 3rd CM between Case and Bruno.

That's wildly optimistic to say Top 4 is over. We're a Cas/Rash injury from being put in a bad spot and also we'll need a lot of rotation with the multitude of games coming up. Top 4 is far from being over.
Also, I can see one of Maguire and Lindelof going in the summer but not both because then we'll need two new CB's. Plus if AWB's current form continues, it is no guarantee he will go.

I think Shaw is LCB2 in EtH's eyes, which means we need an elite (possession) RCB which would make Varane RCB2.

I could see 2 CBs leaving and a starter coming in.

I 100% agree that top4 is still to be secured. We are halfway through the season and we're 3pts up on Spurs and 5pts up on Brighton. Chelsea and Liverpool might not challenge, but Newcastle are going nowhere and and that means there's essentially 4 teams vying for 3rd & 4th spots.

ETH is basically publicly asking for signings in January now. Sadly he doesn’t know that the Glazers give new managers one big window and then the bank is closed.

In the wake of Eriksen’s injury there have been rumblings of potential loans on twitter but nothing concrete. I doubt we sign anyone this late.

He was seen leaving OT on crutches so he could be out for a bit. If so, we badly need someone. I’ve seen Tielemans name mentioned a lot on Twitter since he’s in the last year of his contract I believe. Not sure he’s a great fit but at this point I trust ETH to get anyone to perform. On that topic, I’m sort of curious as to what ETH would’ve done with Pogba (if he could stay for that is).
