From a quick Google search, this is the last statement I could find from Antalyspor on Wright about a week ago:

    https://www.trtspor.com.tr/haber/fu...nendijkten-haji-wright-aciklamasi-268858.html

Haji Wright is also injured as you know. We have to create an alternative in this position. We have 18 games left.

    ...

    Is Haji Wright leaving?

[Groenendijk], when asked about transfer offers for the US football player Haji Wright, said, "We can write 50 percent of the goals we scored this season. He is a very important part of the team. If he leaves, we have to buy a new striker. We hear a lot of rumors, but there is no official statement yet. No explanation. Until the official announcement, Haji Wright is an Antalyaspor football player and has to fight for us.

There's still a few days before the window closes, and Wright's value is never going to be higher after scoring that wondergoal in the WC. You figure they'll just sell to the highest bidder before the deadline. Deadlines drive deals.

Exactly, but he's missed 4 straight, and the quotes were something like "We want $11MM but we received no offers. So until then, we love Haji as he scores goals and he will fight for us".

But he can't fight if he's not on the roster.

He's injured? You are better at Google than me.

Edit: And even when I click that link and search "Wright" I get no results.

Here's the "real assist" (creating a new stat) for Paredes. Slick fake and good ball. But the whiff:

I'm not so good at linking things apparently.

Hopefully I edited in the right link now (here).

Yeah, I wonder whether this is a situation of the player skipping practice due to the team holding out for more money.

Sounds like Wright has been boycotting.

Probably a manager's decision. Arteta is focusing on winning the League. He doesn't have a lot of depth. I imagine he instructed Turner to play brave.

Djordie with the assist on the 5th goal scored in 34 minutes between AZ and Utrecht. Not much defending in the Netherlands, huh?

I think if things had played out just a bit differently at Wolfsburg and in general, that guy might have been in Qatar. I think he just might be the closest guy in the pool that's never represented us in the big full internationals to break through into the 23. Can play FB and Wing Back and possibly Wing Forward. Really special talent, lots of upside there. I don't think his ceiling is in the same area as guys like Reyna, Pulisic, and Adams coming through, but that group of guys like Aaronson, Weah, and Richards in terms of ceiling? He fits right in with them. He definitely has the potential to be a full regular starter on a mid table side in a big 5 league, no problem, and maybe better. Super excited for him, and he's just 19, doesn't turn 20 until May.

dint think there really has been since the Jap Staam days, back when forwards were afraid of coming within ten feet if Dutch and Italian defenders

Juventus have all it admitted Weston is gone. Said he won’t be available against Monza. Still think Leeds got a heist here. Weston should be a Europe challenging target. I know I’m an eternal optimist but I think this is as great for the USMNT as it is for Leeds

Absolutely ridiculous game and you could argue Booth is MOTM.

Imo, had he stayed at DC, he would've made the team. He is a Top 5 talent, for sure.

Boyd probably has 86 goals on the season for Ktown now and the FCKers are in 3rd place, kinda a little YA fun feel too

31yo Terrance Boyd's 9th G in 18 matches as FCK moves into 4th place just outside the relegation playoff zone for promotion to the BuLi. Would be quite a story since they were in 3Liga last season. Reminds me of Robert Duval's joke in Colors about the 2 bulls. Boyd is just walking down ...

Booth has been my guilty pleasure this year. I got to watch the 1st half and he had some fantastic moments as usual. Getting to watch Jordi was a bonus.

The guy looks like he's having a tremendous amount of fun out there. And why not? Backheels, lots of aggressive passes... would be fun to see with the full USMNT sometime.

Booth was really good. Dangerous all match. Chaotic game 5-5 - wild. Milhailovic was pretty sharp early but faded and was subbed. I did like how he seemed to not waste touches.

The one downside is that Brooks adds more competition for Justin Che to get playing time with Hoffenheim. Unless Che is more a fullback.
