It's incredible. Conservatives wish to supposedly "conserve" something. A way of life. An image of themselves. An image of their county. They love history, they just never learn from it.

We set back the clock on women's rights 50 years and if I see one goddamn banner complaining about it, I am going to warm up my posting fingers and you're all gonna hear about it.

Maybe we could circle back to a discussion from a year or so ago - game-day tips for parking, eating, drinking, etc. prior to the game. I was just telling my kids we will be in the “new” Crew stadium for the very first time in less than two months (March 25).

    And the best part?

You don't have to give up your current seats or game day rituals since, in this case, the Nordecke refers to a collection of people and not a specific area of the stadium.

I don’t think anyone responded last time so I’ll ask again..

Has anyone been offered a season parking pass?

I'll follow up on that. What's the handicapped parking situation? Mrs KG broke her fibula in mid December and may not be 100% by Crewsmas.

I take my kids to a few games each year and haven't had issue with their wheelchairs from the Marconi Garage. My sister took my dad to a game and said the handicap shuttle was great.

She's graduated to a brace but is still walking slow. Very slow. We'll see where we are in a month (getting regular PT, though).

As I had to tell some people coming into town for business, you'll pretty much have to download the ParkMobile or ParkColunbus App. For buying parking for games you'll have to go to reserve or reservations, click on the LDC and then hope something is available. Sometimes different things are available depending on which app you're in or if you're on the web. It makes no sense.

There have been a few restaurant changes near the arena district. Any food in this town will set you back $10 per person minimum without drinks. North Market, which had some changeover, might be your best option for a family that may want different things. Dos Hermanos is great, Preston's good, but I heard Hot Chicken changed the recipies and is no longer good. Always Warios where you can ask to get sandwiches cut into 4s. And if you're in town early for some reason, Crooked Can in hilliard, which is like north market, has I think better food options aside from dos hermanos.

I think you are onto something. My sources have provided exclusive footage of the Marxists behind the scenes at the last Nordecke leadership meeting. What are they ripping off that paper. Probably your rights. This is deadly serious. We need action now.

I think you missed your chance in June. There was a big banner complaining about the Dobbs case.

Do you mean the one next to the stadium? Still under construction.

Has it been officially determined who gets to use that garage? As of last I heard, the majority was going to be reserved for tenants of Astor Park, thus largely unavailable for stadium events.

Also: Are there still plans to open up The Pub for daily operations? I'm guessing those either got scrapped or they're waiting for Astor Park to open. At one point, wasn't there talk about serving DORA drinks out of a walk-up window?

Drove by yesterday to kill time. The garage looked done but they are doing foundation work on the building next door. ADA parking would be it's first priority.

I would be shocked that anyone not in suites, field level seats or ledge seats gets access to that garage. Between those folks, the residents and maybe some ADA, I wouldn't hold my breathe.

I'd definitely subscribe to that belief.

Legally, ADA doesn't need to be close. They could do ADA some distance away and run shuttles, like what OSU does.

Hot(?) take: Because the postgame situation basically requires Nationwide Blvd to be shut down, I'm not sure anyone would *want* to park close if they can avoid it. People who walk from Grandview definitely have a good situation. I'd imagine ride-sharing rates might also be a bit less from Grandview, especially if headed north or west after the game, but that's just a guess.

Then again, I've heard that the walk from Grandview or the other side of the arena district is apparently too much for some kids and the families may opt for suburban activities instead. (I blame that on the suburban mindset where the car is essentially required, walkability is greatly reduced and the giant parking lots are in every commercial development.)

I doubt that. People are either gonna come down or not. If they're not gonna come because they have to walk a mile because "there's a concert at the arena and traffic is going to be bad" then it smells like excuses. What do they want, $10 parking a block away and the ability to get on 670 less than 45 minutes after the game ends? They're in a growing city. What do they expect?

    They expect to complain.

That's all people - especially SportsFans™ - in this city ever do: complain.

Five years ago: There's nothing to do around our stadium on the fairgrounds and getting out of the parking lot sucks.
Today: I don't want to do anything around our downtown stadium and getting out of the parking garages sucks.

Some people wouldn't be happy if five million dollars in cash fell out of the sky and onto the couch beside them.

Oh, sorry. I'll keep my communist opinions to the Central Committee meetings.

“It would be great to have a stadium with food and drink options in the surrounding area!!”

*team moves to the arena district*

“I wanna tailgate a mile and a half away and walk from Grandview, fvck your food and drink options!!”
