    LOL

This club is a total farce. Bergwijn acting like a clown getting subbed. AS totally lost. This has to be the lowest point in decades.

Bergwijn one of the few who can play certainly a problem with Schreuder.
Tadic must come off he’s pathetic,
Klaassen too so many bad touches.
Rensch sucks. Does nothing well. Absolutely useless player.
Falling down instead of jumping on the goal.
    It’s ridiculous.

    0-1 Volendam. This is good.
Now hold on for the loss and that'll be the end of Schreuder

  7. I think you underestimate the energy drain the Feyenoord-Ajax match was for both teams.
Feyenoord yesterday was meh too, but fortunately helped by a bizarre VAR/ref decision that made the energy drain not fatal by having to play a half against 10 men.

Schreuder should do the right thing and resign right now. He has lost the team and cannot even put the best players out on the pitch at the start of the match. Sure, Ajax should have converted at least two of the chances they had but they are so tentative in taking shots. 83% possession and 31 shots but only one goal!! Volendam had a good defensive set up and Ajax should have realized that there were going to be lots of double teams because of the 5-4-1 formation. I was thinking when Eiting took the free kick that Volendam were sure to score and that they did. The only trophy this team has a chance for right now is the Beker. They face Union Berlin in the Europa League and that team is now 2nd in the Bundesliga. No way does Ajax have a chance in that tie. They will be lucky to get third place and a CL qualification run next season.

    Player Ratings:

    Rulli (5) - largely a spectator
Rensch (6) - actually not all that bad before being subbed off, he had a couple of good interventions and one nice cut in on an interior overlap
Alvarez (6.5) - had a good game but was out of position late in the game but Volendam could not capitalize
Tmber (7) - he will be missed next season
Bassey (4.5) - it was his marker that scored and he just is not a good football player but is a great athlete
Taylor (5.5) - marginally above average
Berghuis (5.5) - had some shots but they were all blocked
Klaassen (4) - why does he even start much less play a full 90???? Mystery of the year
Tadic (4.5) - just not good, his free kicks were poor, he can't beat a defender any more but he does play a full 90 and is a good cheerleader
Brobbey (5.5) - worked really hard and had some good cuts to the goal, unfortunately the passing of the team is too slow to take advantage
Bergwijn (5) - did not get much of an opening and IMO unjustifiably subbed off when it was Tadic who should have taken a seat
Kudus (6) - got the goal to tie the game and save a point, should have started over Klaassen
Luca (5.5) - assisted on the goal
Concceicao (5) - very active but sometimes caught in a double team trap without a man to pass to

Time for a new manager even it it's just a caretaker

  11. I blame van Gaal. He makes everybody at Ajax believe Rensch and Taylor are ready for the grown men's jobs.

This matches the worst winless streak for Ajax since 1964/65 season. And it's not over yet. My goodness -58 years record, this was before even my time as Ajax fan.

  15. Well, I suggested, after ten Hag was on the move, that Jonk was the natural follow up coach for ten Hag.

  16. Well, Gio went on a 7 losses streak when he started at Feyenoord, but after that miserable start he went on an unbeaten streak far into the next season.
So not bad at all from Alfred.

Edit: and was that the season Gio won the title, after that season with the horror start?

I don't think it was a slight to Jonk- I think he just wanted to leave the field as soon as possible.

That said- pretty fitting that Jonk is (HOPEFULLY!) the guy to potentially create change at Ajax again.

The Disease of Schreuder has been terrible for Ajax. Time for a reset, but the new Manager needs to go the following,
Drop Tadic, Klaassen, and Rensch who have all been terrible.
    Enough is enough.
    Name Timber Captain.
Hopefully The new Boss is not Frank De Boer who was sniffing around the stadium today.
Hoping Van Der Sar makes a good decision.
I truly have no idea who could be the next Manager.
