    My new sig!!! :inlove:

EDIT: I'm really proud of this. Just want to make sure you know, I'm not mocking you. Well, maybe mocking you're fanboyism. BUT, this just makes me really happy.

We're salt of the Earth types. You've been misled as to our true mission here. Think of us as being a combo of Quakers and rappers...

    Yes, great example.
There are no more egocentric people than rappers.
Ego is, basically, the entire profession of a rapper.

Atlanta fans, the "salt of the Earth," have replaced Seattle fans as the most egotistical and obnoxious in MLS.

Never had a problem with San Jose fans? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

If only Atlanta fans would follow "quietism" that might help. ;)

    Quakers opposed evolution.

He’ll no! I agree we wouldn’t want fans to believe that they’re the bestest team ever.

My fav sig was from way back 20 years when some in here were still trying to understand the Sawker.

“If you have to use another sport as an analogy, you just don’t get it!”

Sometimes I think I should resurrect it. :)

You mean you guys don't wonder how great the US National Team would be if your best athletes played soccer or if we had promotion and relegation in our leagues?

I wonder about this all. the. time. Though more from a player perspective than a team one. There were two players from Virginia's national basketball championship team who I really think should have played soccer, mostly because they're just too small. I think Kyle Guy's engine, his form, and his ability to play through contact would translate to the pitch. He's 6'2" on the hardwood, but on a soccer team, he'd be a large man. Kihei Clark is 5'8" but with his court vision, touch, ambidexterity, well, he'd be freakin' Luka Modric. Guy is playing in Europe and Clark is going there soon.

And I never think this. I like relegation/promotion and all, but we play some high level sport here in the US without it. It's a neat distinctive, but I don't think it creates any kind of framework that translates to the national team.

I like that they selected a picture of Fatboy Slim that makes him look much older than David Bowie.

Also, why would David Bowie be impressed with Fatboy Slim?
Not sure I would be impressed meeting Fatboy Slim. I barely knew he was still around or even a thing.
