I am One Million Percent certain that everyone in a decision making role in every meaningful* European nation already knew this was happening. *Maybe the defense secretary for Andorra or San Marino don't know.
Situations like Article 5 of NATO, when the US invoked it. Over 40 000 soldiers were deployed during the entire invasion of Afghanistan, mainly in Kandahar.

Canada only has 82 Leopards, so that is 5% of their tank force.. 5% isn’t that out of line with what other countries are donating.
Great movie. Hey, @Deadtigers , ever watch this one? A lot of familiar scenes along Niagara River and Parkway. Of course, that was 35 yrs ago. When John Candy drives into Toronto, he marvels at how clean it is and the lack of litter. It isn't as sparkly, these days.
I’ve seen numbers where Netherlands is donating all 18 of their Leopards.. but then, they don’t actually own the tanks. Rather they lease them from Germany.
I havent seen it in over a decade so my memory is fuzzy. I remember that scene and the irony in it. I also remember how the graffiti truck was fine for not have the graffiti in French too.
The other 7 are on the bench, we stick to 4-3-3. No matter what. Russians bunker? 4-3-3. Russians attack 4-3-3 in the counter.

Some movement on the frozen Russian assets EU to examine seizing confiscated Russian assets for reconstruction | Financial Times (ft.com) Brussels suggested the underlying assets would not be permanently confiscated under the plan, but would be returned to the Russian state* if a peace agreement were signed. *with interest Switzerland is resisting this as according to Swiss Economy Minister Guy Parmelin, such an action would be a serious violation of the law. There are huge risks with this plan but temporarily confiscating the assets and returning it later could be somewhat of a viable compromise.
They are under US and EU pressure to get along with the plan. https://www.nzz.ch/schweiz/wiederau...rter-russischer-gelder-unter-druck-ld.1719134 https://english.nv.ua/nation/us-pre...rozen-russian-assets-to-ukraine-50295172.html
We were assuming the French recon vehicles and British Challenger II's were meant to shame Germany into releasing the Leopards. But maybe Germany sending Leopards was supposed to shame someone else... Today Poland said they would send almost a hundred PT-91's. This is really important because these can be integrated into Ukrainian forces without big changes to logistics or doctrine, but have the benefits of modern sensors. The general consensus seems to be that there will be a big Russian offensive before the big Ukrainian offensive, so there is a need for something that can strengthen Ukrainian defenses within a month, two tops.
