Yes, none of the veterans plus Eder, Camma, Vin, Rodrygo, Rudiger, Tchou, Rodrygo, Fede, none of these guys are hungry for trophies, they're just happy to run around for nothing, also, best defence, we've put three past them already, we can do it again, it's not like they are running teams off the park, we are slowly getting better, no fear of Farca

From the relegation zone to aiming for European spots. Xabi impressing. Good odds of returning to Madrid one day.

Might be a better chance of him coaching Bayern soon.

The defense is in a good moment but let's be honest, their midfield fouls or grabs a player in transition and then the guys not crowding the ref in protest to the whistle are getting organized defensively.

The away crowds for the EFL cup semifinals were impressive! Especially the Newcastle fans in Southampton, which is at the opposite end of the country.

That said, I seriously doubt the kick-off times in Spain have anything to do with the feeble support away teams get. Everything happens at a later time in Spain compared to most other countries, especially the UK. Not just football matches. People get off work later, they have dinner later, pubs close later, people go to bed later, etc. Basically, 10:00p to a Spaniard = 8:00p to a Brit.

In any case, 10:00p kickoffs are rare in Spain now.

I honestly don't know what the reason behind the poor away support is. I am guessing it must have to do with the setup/organization of domestic fixtures. Clearly the kickoff time is not the deciding factor because you'll get plenty of away support when Barca/RM/Atleti visit say London to play Tottenham on a cold Wednesday night, but only a small number of supporters when Barca visit Real Madrid (or vice versa) at 4:00p on a Saturday.

I talk to fans that travel to the basketball games, and most of them say that traveling to other countries and coming back is easier than traveling inside the country. There's sometimes only one transportation method and if that falls through you might end I stranded at the end of God knows where wearing the opponents shirt. :ROFLMAO:

Ive read about this before and I always hear that traveling to away games is just not part of the culture of Spanish football. I see 4x4 mentioned that transport in Spain is poor and thats a great shout that I hadn't really considered. 'Awaydays' as they are often called here are a really huge part of supporting your club here, and having spent decades going to games I can say they are very often much more fun than going to watch your team at home. Some of my best memories of supporting my club are awaydays to random towns elsewhere in the country with my mates.

Spain being more than 3 times the size of England will obviously play a part in that, and in England the south west has very little football in it so that's a chunk you can also kind of discount (to a degree) from land mass. We also have lots of levels of football which have teams who are really well supported so there are just a lot of fans who want to go to games here. I also think the number of pubs we have here also plays into it too as that is a central part of the day for away games (away fans will be unofficially allocated a pub which then becomes a fun chaotic home from home for 2-3 hours before games).

A lot of fans also complain about ticket prices sky rocketing in the past couple of years. Terrible ticket acquisition websites (including Real Madrid), resellers, just a bad experience overall.

Rayo Vallecano dont even have an online ticket service as far as I'm concerned, first come first serve at the stadium when tickets are released. Madness.

Another good practice in England is that the 15h00 Saturday matches are not televised (which is when over 80-90% of the games are played). So, if you want to see your team play you have to actually get off your lazy arse and go to the stadium.

Fully agree that attending a match as an away supporter is more fun than a home supporter.
