    Right on,

I guess we need to thank the first soccer player to ever cut in from the left flank into the middle….for passing that move on from player to player, league to league until it spanned the entire world.

Truaco is apparently the only player who's ever switched the field from left back to right mid since Ramiro Corrales in 2004.

Yes he's getting settled into the game. He's a young guy and I'm not disappointed in him.

I'm sure someone here will say "Jebo" like a shit bag

US has a lot to build on, this result doesn't matter at all. We accomplished a few things today.

Secured Vasquez and Zendejas for the future. I think they need a qualifying game cap to be locked in? or has that changed?

Cowell got some minutes, upping his stock, as he boards the good bye train to Europe.

Got to see a bunch of the future prospects getting their shot, and giving them something to build on. If anyone expected a pure domination and win today with a bunch of kids needs to go back to soccer 101 School.

Vasquez, Morris, Gaga, Cowell, Zendejas (2nd Half) and Gressel were the better players today and I like what I saw from them.

I am very curious to see how we do against Colombia in a week.

Aaron Long and Walker Zimmerman steady as usual. Nothing more, nothing less. Nice to not see Jordan Morris at all.

I thought we did good today for what it is.

I still think someone here is going to say something about JEBO needing to be on this team.

Yes, because some here like transfer $ more than they like our young HG local players. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Man, Cade played great. 2nd half was even better than the 1st. Only made a couple of bad decisions and lost the ball once or twice. And some of his short passes in the box, while the decision was good, were off by a foot or two. But he had a bunch of shots, 2 off the post. As the Spanish language announcers said "¡Mal fortuna!"

Other players who I liked: Zendejas - man, is he quick! He kind of took over the game in the last 20 minutes or so. Vasquez - didn't impress me with his combo play much but great goal, Jonathan Gomez played well, I liked Aidan Morris too.

Not so good: I thought Neal was doing OK until that bad giveaway that led to Serbia's 2nd goal. Sonora - a couple of good moments but some real bad ones too. Not sure I would want to spend big $ to acquire this guy. On one play he had the ball at the top of the attacking final 3rd, retreated all the way to the top of our defensive 3rd and then back passed to Serbia for what would have been the 3rd Serbia goal if not offside. As the announcers said, "Sonora, que hace??"

Soñora is FREE. He's not under contract, so no fee to get him. You can't truly think that one game makes a player?!? He's young and actually played a lot for Independiente in argentina, one of the big clubs over there, with lots of pressure every weekend. I'd snap him up in a second, knowing all we've got to do is pay him decently.

Fair enough, it was one game. But I don’t think he fits a big need right now - another central attacking mid, when we have Niko and Monteiro, and he’d probably have to be a DP. If we’re going to sign another attacking DP I’d rather it was a forward - one that can play wide or central.

And yeah that was one play, but that’s about as bad as it gets for a center mid attacker - to be driven 40 yards backwards, then back pass to the other team for a goal (fortunately offside but it was an easy chance).

Cade was definitely the most dangerous player for the US last night.

Cade looked pretty good but needs to work on his finishing. He came close several times, even whipped in a few decent crosses, but ultimately came up short. He had a good game though. Hopefully earned himself another start.

Yes, needs to be more clinical. Shots that hit the post and bounce away are not even considered shots on goal. And he could have easily had two assists if his teammates were also a little more clinical.

Game started at 11pm here - too late to worry about signing up for a ‘free trial’ that’d probability take dozens of steps to get out of later. S/b able to watch the Col game on Roku, I hope…

Hudson was incredibly effusive about Zendejas after the game (for good reason). Unfortunately not clear if he’s going to tie to US or Mexico, but they’re going to be begging him to stick with USMNT.

And Hudson also effusive with praise for Cade:

“Cade, wow. Like, what a performance from Cade,” said Hudson. “I’m so proud of him, so impressed with his performance. He was another one where, I kept turning around to our sports scientists and coaching staff – because obviously, we had set [playing] times, and as the clock was ticking, I knew he had to come off. And I didn't want to bring him off.

“He was just really just outstanding tonight. Really direct, really aggressive, brave. I think maybe if he’d have stayed on, I think he deserved a goal for sure. But this is probably one of the best performances I've seen. I've seen him, I've seen him have some amazing moments. I think tonight's showed another level, another step forward for him. So it was a really special performance from him and I'm really proud of what he did tonight.”

Ha! I was thinking the same thing when I was watching the match. As the second half wore on I figured the plan was to have Cade come out at sometime, but, I bet Hudson doesn't really want to sub him out!

Yeah, he didn't seem to be getting any less effective. Same with Zendejas, who somehow got a lot more lively and involved as the game went into the last 1/2 hour, and played a full 90+ I think.

He made his entire opinion off watching him for the very first time ever last night, stating he doesn't fit a need for this team.

What he really wants to say is, "I don't want Soñora on this team because it potentially pushes his golden boy of Monterio out of the picture or Thompson even further away from CM.

Well as a few people have stated, the point of this camp is to get Zendejas and Vasquez as much love as possible so they don't defect to Mexico, come back and shove their boot up our ass.
