Awesome transition by the US! I don't mind the selfish play by Morris. But Petrovic with a great save!!
I like how they're using Morris as a free roam. They're doing a lot of over shits which is an interesting tactic. You don't see that much with US players would be a very interesting tactical approach if that becomes our norm. As you see we're attacking with 3-2-3-2 with Zimmerman/Neal staying home., Then shift back into D using a 3-3-4 Interesting stuff. I'm impressed at the small intricacies of tactics Hudson's doing. Cowell looks very impressive.
Julian Gressel puts in a long cross that Brandon Vazquez heads in for his first International goal. Oh darn, Slonina got kicked in the head on making a great save.
Looking at the replay, that Brandon Vazquez header was very Wondo-esque. Wonder if Dom taught him that…
Thats what I said earlier. He plays like Wondo, Moves like Wondo. He's Alan Gordon, McBride, Ching, Wondo and Wynalda all smashed into 1
Slonina and Roman Celentano are the next couple guys in line for us and I like the prospects. We're not as deep keeper wise anymore, but I like the prospects of them + Turner. I think Slonina will get regular call ups moving forward.
I'm ok giving up that goal, gives us a chance to see how these kids respond. I hate that wall defensive formation with the jack ass laying on the floor.
This bodes well for Cade this season, it looks like his decision making is finally starting to improve. He’s probably the best player on the field thus far…aaaand we let in a goal as I was typing this, where the F was the wall at?
