I started to type his name and then lazily decided to just copy/past from the last post mentioning him. I guess I should have looked a little more closely.

This is the least interesting transfer saga I've ever experienced. I get that he's young and promising or whatever, but he's only €15 million and will be our third-choice right back. The amount of coverage this is getting is insane.
The fact that there isn't an immediate need at RB but the club seems willing to spend €15m on him now actually makes me pretty intrigued. Arsenal don't make signings like that very often, Martinelli, Guendouzi, Marquinhos come to mind but they all cost less. Arteta and Edu must really see something in him and think he will cost a lot more later on if they wait. It wouldn't shock me if he chose Dortmund as they probably have more playing time on offer. Or maybe Arsenal are waiting for Cedric to leave.
Arteta seems to place a high value on versatility to play more than one position. Perhaps they see him as more than just a RB? It's also possible that Holding could move on and White/Tomi could be used more in central defense.
if Arsenal win the PR war with BVB, he is going back to his current club on loan for the remainder of the season. His journey may be very much like Saliba’s, two and a half to three years on loan before being integrated into the first team.
Right, that's my point. It's getting way too much coverage for a move that might have an impact on the first team in 2025.
It was not only fun watching him on loan, but Saliba has been a key player in our PL push this season. If we can get half of the return on Fresneda I am all for it. Smart management is getting players for the here and now (Trossard) but also keeping an eye on things for 2/3/4 years down the track.
More Zubimendi rumors. I know he's a young, highly touted DM, but I'd be lying if I said I've really seen him play. 🚨 Arsenal reached an agreement with Real Sociedad this month to pay Martin Zubimendi’s £52.5m release clause, but the player does not want to leave his hometown club in the middle of the season & the deal is more likely to happen at the end of the campaign. Just saw a headline that Brighton want £100m for Caicedo in the summer. The sad thing is, they know Chelsea will pay it. I’m now rooting for Brighton to beat Chelsea to the final Champion’s league spot, so Caicedo will stay at Brighton when Chelsea agree to the £100m.
Starting to sound like a Christmas song with our recruitment. 3 Gabriels, 2 Martins and an Aaron as our goalieeeeee.
Yeah, you're moving to Chelsea even if Brighton beat them to 4th somehow (it would be more like beating Newcaslte to 4th). The cha-ching alone is worth it.
Exclusive: Fulham are set to complete the signing of Arsenal defender Cedric Soares on a six-month loan. No option or obligation to buy. Fulham will cover wages, which total close to £100k-a-week.
