If Aucas keeps buying and selling players like this they can sustain their team very well. https://www.futbolecuador.com/site/...e-genk-en-el-que-juega-angelo-preciado/151429
It seems Aucas is doing what IDV did in their earlier years both of those guys came out of CS Norte America academies. They are buying youth players in large quantities. It nice to see them be able to get them aboard so quickly too. Hopefully they can establish a solid youth academy of their own. CS Norte America too. I really want them to be a team that can one day be in 1st division rather than be the little guy in all of this. IDK what their business model really is are they like those Uruguayan teams that buy and sell players to help teams avoid paying taxes ?? It very odd that they get thousands of players and transfer them but still remain in 4th division. With out much news on them.
This guy has been a free agent for a while now. I remember seeing him being linked to 1st division Holland and Belgium teams. https://www.transfermarkt.com/luis-arroyo/profil/spieler/667906
Everton and Newcastle are holding talks over signing 21-year-old Bayer Leverkusen and Ecuador defender Piero Hincapie, who has also been linked with Tottenham. (Football Insider)
I sincerely hope he can make it to Newcastle instead of Everton (no disrespect to them), but at the moment, Newcastle is on an upward trajectory and is well financed to stay competitive while Everton seems to be in a free-fall. Hincapie needs to play European competition footy to take his game to the next level and get a well rounded tactical understanding of different disciplines to attacking formations and coaching styles that will help his defensive acumen. Everton is in a battle to save relegation...their priorities are way different. We'll see who bids the most.
I'm OK with him staying in Germany. It's the league I follow and thus I get to watch him play. Selfish reasons, I know.
Chelsea still have an interest in Moises Caicedo despite having a £55m bid for the 21-year-old Ecuador midfielder rejected by Brighton. (Football.London) Hopefully he stays away from Chelsea. Not a good place to go right now.
Looks like the bid goes up to 65M. Brighton said they won't budge from 85M, so Chelsea's bid seems to be a non-issue.
I went to the Pink Arena to see Inter Miami play a friendly with Vasco Da Gama (0-3). I didn't know Leonardo Campana plays for them.
That's about 20 mins from my house! Yeah, Campana has been with Inter Miami for 2 seasons (this would be his second) if I'm not mistaken.
Yes, you are correct. The first season was on loan. It was my second time to the stadium. I really like it but I think it is temporary as the real stadium will be build near Miami International (MIA).
You're right. But building permits and Miami-Dade County's legendary political circus (the theater of the absurd) makes that quite a long term vision, lol.
I heard the permit got approved in 2022...but yeah, more permits will certainly be required so, we'll see. Could be 2 years or it could be 5.
Chelsea are close to reaching a verbal agreement with Independiente del Valle to sign 15-year-old Ecuadorian midfielder Kendry Paez, who will be able to join when he turns 18. (Fabrizio Romano)
Anyone remember this guy ? He has been with out a team for 2 years and recently made a come back to pro soccer. https://www.transfermarkt.es/josimar-quintero/profil/spieler/276586
He's in Malta? Where did he go for 2 years? PS- thanks for reviving this thread. Ideally, this can get used more often.
Yea surprisingly he became an immediate starter in his team in Malta after 2 years of inactivity. In his 2 years as a free agent I assume he went on trials, played with amateur teams, and trained on his own. There where no official reports of him being associated with any teams. I thought he would just retire. Before he went to Real Monarchs he stated that he did not want to return to Ecuador since he grew up aboard and has no memory of living in Ecuador or any knowledge of our football. .
