Neymar wins a penalty offers it to Messi who refuses to take it, Messi wins a penalty and gives to Mbappe, then there is my idol Penaldo who does a siuu celebration after scoring penalty in a friendly match 😂😂— ganesh🇦🇷 (@breathMessi21) January 19, 2023
I know, it's an odd thing to say. But the narrative in some sections of the media now is that while he scores a lot, Man City have regressed overall due to his addition. He's also scored 2 in 5 this January compared to 8 in August, 6 in September and 9 in October. On the eye test he isn't moving like he was earlier in the season, not making those runs and some touches seem off here and there including an easy one today from a nice Nathan Ake pass. Basically it's as down as it's been for him so far in his career probably or atleast since joining Dortmund. Julian on the other hand looks sharp and even on his bad days, just his sheer workrate makes sure he's never truly invisible.
Cuti will always be harsh on everyone, even against his compatriots like MacAllister and Lautaro As for that PSG vs Al-nassr, what a useless and meaningless game.
At this point, he's all about self marketing and statspedding. Well, its been like that for many years anyway.
Personally, I like Haaland. Unlike other young superstars, he does not have a colossal ego(He’s just being funny in this video). He’s actually funny and seems like your average guy. As for Julian, I’m glad he’s doing well since the World Cup. He’s not going to be a Bati or a Crespo, or even a Kun, and we do not need him to be, at least right now. He fits our current system. I’d still hope we produce another young talented forward who will bang in goals. We saw what could happen to a player like Lautaro, who fell off at the worst time possible.
How bad is our sub 20 NT? We play on saturday and im tempted to watch since im on argentina NT whitdrawal since WC ended. I dont have much faith in Masche as a coach, tbh, and i dont wanna get my hopes up if we suck. Are we even in the top 3 in southamerica? Anyways, im super spoiled by la scaloneta now and only get thrilled to watch Argentina when we are the absolute best team
Honestly, Masche's team never look convincing to me. Granted I only streamed few matches, but the Toulon tournament performance has been average, even if we won 4 and lost just once. That big lost to France showed the team wasnt prepared againts a proper team. Now since Garnacho isnt allowed to play the qualifier, I'm not very optimistic, but hopefully the WC win gives an extra fighting spirit to the pibes. Brazil won their first game but Colombia & Paraguay ended draw which is a good thing.
At least on paper, it is one of the most promising sides we've had in a long time. We should do well in this tournament. I'd tune in.
The thing I like about Haalabd is he doesn't take himself too seriously, I mean he's a rich kid, his dad was a fairly successful footballer, but he doesn't come across as a spoilt brat and realises how lucky he is.
In the Players of the Future thread we posted the U-20 team selection. This might be the strongest talent pool since the glory days of the Pekerman years. Even though some really strong young talent will not be there (Garnacho, Farias, Carlos Alcaraz, Facundo Farias, the Carboni brothers and Matias Soule), Mascherano will have enough players to make some noise. And there are some even younger guys like Gianluca Prestianni who are not even old enough for the U-20
I thought we were playing today since Brasil played their match yesterday. But we are actually playing Saturday and then face Brasil on Monday. Strange to say the least.
Soccer’s greatest ever dribbler. It is quite astonishing how he’s adjusted his dribbling with age and losing his speed.
Argentina-Paraguay about to start Im in a country house with a wonderful outside pool, 33 celsius now (90f), could be enjoying outside but im inside watching, I need some futbol
I don't understand why someone like Mancherano was given the u20, he's a new coach no? He should have been given the u17. Not all players are going to be a Scaloni. Scaloni's staff is also crutial. Aren't there any good coaches like Pekerman floating around? Or some Division B coach? It feels like AFA's uses darts to make their coaching selections.
