Chris M is a sorta-friend of mine. I have had beers with Chris M on occasion, before moving from Chicago. You would likely enjoy his company. Too bad he has not been around Big Soccer in a while.
1. Favorite Post. Macsen's Bigsoccer in Space thread - all of it. 2. Favorite Poster - Europe Spassapparat Honorable mention: Belgian Guy 3. Favorite Poster - Americas rslfanboy 4. Favorite Poster - Rest of the World (RoW) Sounders78 5. Poster you want to meet for a beer Auriaprottu @ The Blue Room Honorable mention: Dr Wankler @ The Kauffman Center 6. Pic of what you image one poster looks like. It's an older picture, but here's spejic as a teenager, the cute sadboy hacker/assassin working undercover in a flower shop called Kitty's House: 7. Favorite Mod (Current or Former) Ismitje
There was whole thread in the rugby chatroom on what we picture other posters look like. After that throwing someone out of window post, I pictured spejic as cross between this guy And this version as he got more seasoned
I appreciate the Panther comparison... that guy at that time is waay younger than I am now. I shall withhold my own choices until later this year.
If you tell me your hair is dark brown and curly...oh, man, if you were not married, I would swear you were my uncle.
Actually, that guy's hair is pretty much exactly what mine looked like about 9 months into the pandemic, only a different color. So if we ever do hang out over beer or coffee or whatever, we're unlikely to discover any family connection.
You really think that Spejic would try to trick people into thinking there was an Alien invasion? Yeah...me too!
This was very difficult. I worked on this last week, but it seems I deleted my comments before posting. I think this is the recreation of it. 1. Favorite Post. Spejic's post quoted in post 24. 2. Favorite Poster - Europe - Blissett, with The Jitty Slitter just a smidge behind 3. Favorite Poster - Americas Spejic, I have learned quite a bit about crypto (and pushing people out of buildings), plus I worked in flower shops that were part of two of the greenhouses I ran back in the day. 4. Favorite Poster - Rest of the World (RoW) Sounders78 (if spending a lot of time in the South Pacific and New Zealand, and posting about it counts as being from the "rest of the world"). 5. Poster you want to meet for a beer (almost) EVERYBODY, even Marek. If I had to choose one, I will go with rslfanboy, since he worked in a brewery until (I think) fairly recently and I appreciate his point of view. 6. Pic of what you imagine one poster looks like. I know it is not his image, but Superdave's avatar unnerves me every time I see it. When he posts something particularly obnoxious, I read it in the avatar's "voice." 7. Favorite Mod (Current or Former)- ALL Mods are awe-some!!! (Even the stupidface ones and the ball sucking ones, i.e., Chicago Fire Mods). To pick one, I select Soccernutter, as I have not picked him in an earlier "favorite" post. Really, and I mean this sincerely, I appreciate all of you, even the few of you with whom I generally disagree. This dysfunctional "community" is pretty great overall. It is what made this particular "boredie" ("boardy"?) difficult. I would like a little less of the name calling that occasionally happens, but, compared to a lot of other social media sites we are on or hear about, this one actually works. That is thanks to all of you and to the Mods, even if they are a stupidface. They put up with our crap without bitching about it too much. That takes some skill.
2. Favorite Poster - Europe- Sinner Ronald Monk 3. Favorite Poster - Americas- Amerifolklegend 4. Favorite Poster - Rest of the World- StanleyT None of these guys post anymore, AFAIK but Stan now lives somewhere in Africa, I think.
If you have a human face (not cartoon, but photo) as your avatar, I ultimately end up thinking of you as looking like that person. Unless I recognize the person in the photo.. then there's no association. Deadtigers will forever look kike Paul Ince, taosjohn will look like the guy in his avatar (it's not Bob Keeshan, but it looks kinda like him)...
Lionheart was on TV the other night and I made my wife watch a bit. Worst JCVD, but still damn hilarious.
She was working on her laptop while it was on, and only peeked up when I laughed, which was quite often. She only knows JCVD through me, and me having her watch the volvo commercial where he does the splits between two moving trucks. That being said, it killed my chances of getting any action that night.
