Griffin Yow at KVC Westerlo

Wasn't there at least one American player in the past who played at Westerlo?

 

I'm choosing to believe he is somehow related to David Yow and that is all I have to contribute to this thread.

Yow is playing almost every match with the U21s. Match report from 11 Oct match had this gem - " Griffin Yow was one of the tormentors for Lommel at the front. On a pass from Glenn, he first narrowly missed the goal. (63')"

 

Match with U21 vs Royal Excelsior Vitron U21 finished 1-1 today.

No match report yet to see if Yow played.

 

Played for the U21 team in aU21 0-2 Cup victory over Lierse Kempenzonen.

From the match report, it looks like Griffin Yow was very active and had multiple dangerous chances. In the 68' he scored the goal to make it 0-2.

" It was the credit of Griffin Yow who finally managed to finish a personal rush from the right in goal. 0 – 2 (68')"

There was a U21 league match last night, but no match report yet.

 

The U21 match vs KV Oostende ended up as a 1-5 loss. Yow did not play.

 

Did not play in the U21 match against Lierse. I wonder if he is injured. From the match reports, it seems like he is quite active and plays well when he plays.

Yow has been sighted!!! He played the second half of a 2-1 loss to Basaksehir. Match Report Here.

 

Yow entered in for the 2nd half of a 1-2 victory over Sparta Rotterdam today in an International Friendly. Match report here, no mention of him except that he came on.

 

Yow played the last 30 min of a 7-0 friendly victory over Beerschot. Match report is here.

 

It looks like Griffin Yow will get his senior team debut this week. The same article that said Reynolds will be out for a month, said that Yow will at least make the bench.

 

The prophecy has been fulfilled. Well, part of it anyway. On the bench.

 

And it's an ESPN+ game, for anyone interested.

 

No debut in a 2-1 loss. They were chasing down a goal up a man late, so understandable.

 

Tough loss for the team. I did not watch it, could Reynolds have made a difference? Good to see Yow on the bench.
