I know we are well over a year away but with qualifiers starting in the next couple of months. What are your predictions not only for our qualifying matches, squad and performance in the upcoming EURO 2024.. Sound off in the comments below:

    Here’s mine

Qualifiers I can see us having an upset or two, hear me out, I know our group is one of the easier ones (shocker) but with the recent World Cup performance I’m skeptical of this squad when facing smaller teams. For instance our only losses were South Korea and Morocco, like seriously ? Not downplaying those squads but those both should’ve been wins. We always seem to batter teams like Holland, Switzerland amongst others yet we play down to small weaker teams and let them get in our heads. Never fails. Squad will probably remain similar to World Cup and we will finally have Jota back, game changer in the EURO. I can see Ronaldo being benched most games if he doesn’t play well in the qualifiers. Possibly return of Patricio, I love Costa and he was solid against Turkey and North Macedonia, can’t praise him enough but wow he blew the semi final for us. He shouldn’t have came out of the net that far and that was an extremely save worthy “attempt” same with the Korea game.

I have us meeting Switzerland at some point, possibly RO16, this time the game will be closer, we come out 3-1.

Quarter final I can see us facing Spain or Germany. Close game again we will win 3-2.

Semi final, we play Italy. Goes to penalties, 5-3 us.

Final, England, goes to penalties like the previous EUROs and World Cup, we take home the trophy winning on penalties 5-4

lol! Too early for that considering we don't know what the team will look like but excited to see romar put his stamp on the team.

I think we'll be more competitive than you think w/o Ronaldo.

    Ok...

    Here are my predictions...

Ronaldo doesn't retire and isn't called. He announces that at this point he needs to focus on his new team and step away from the National Team.....He praises the youth of Portugal and that his heart is always with Portugal.

If the team struggles extremely poorly he announces his retirement. He wont return unless he thinks Portugal can win the euro and he can help them get there. This will all depend on how Portugal plays and what changes Martinez makes. If they struggle scoring but otherwise dominate games....possibly. But that will also depend on how well he plays at Al Nassr.

Same team as Morocco game except with Mendes and Danilo start.

    Liechtenstein 2-0 W
    Luxemburg 2-0 W Possible Tie

Team is retooled and there are three changes.

Andre Silva starts at striker and Otavio is replaced and Dalot is replaced.

    Bosnia - 1-0 W
    Iceland - 1-1 T
    Slovakia - L

We barely qualify by beating Slovakia and Iceland at home.

We are out in group stages with one tie and two losses.

We play a team with a fifa Rankings in their 40's between March and June.

I wonder how many game play simulations I have to run for that to actually happen?

Lol if you “believe” hard enough we can win. Look what happened with VARgentina. They “believed” hard enough a full year before the World Cup and still “won”

That's very hopeful. Most likely it would still be old man Ronaldo taking them
