    Truthfully, even if his effort wasn't always great last summer, having Ravel around to help with depth isn't the worst thing. The team still lacks it at some spots unless they really expect Santos and Najar to provide cover at multiple positions.

    Do we really need to be paying $865k for depth?

    Ideally no, but they were paying $1.5M for a depth player last year, so *shrug*.

    At least we didn’t pay a fee. I don’t know how they swung that yet still paid like $3M for Kamara who couldn’t make the 18 for a team that was relegated more than a month before their season ended in China. I have to think we’d have given them $5-6M if they’d asked. No fee does change the calculus a little, but I’d still like to see us going the young DP route.
