Dutch attacked more on the right, away from Jedi. He's better defensively with FFC because they ask him to stay back more and cover for the CBs. He's better offensively with the USA because they let him attack into the middle rather than just bomb the touchline and cross to Mitro (and, let's be honest, if we had a 9 anything like Mitro we'd ask Jedi and Dest to just cross the ball to him also).

Disagree with you, as I think the Dutch targeted Robinson. That's why Dumfries had the match that he did - that was Robinson's flank. I haven't looked at any in-depth analysis of the match though, so it's whatever. Just what my eye could see.

Don't disagree with your assessment of how he's deployed at Fulham.

They targeted the flanks on both sides of the ball. They identified the midfield as a strength for the USA, and forced them into the channels where they could utilize the touchline as an extra defender.

Also agree that they targeted Robinson, but I think it is more a natural function of their shape with Blind on the other side to provide balance, and Dumfries having Timber as cover.

Big win for FFC. 2-1, Mitro missed a PK at the end.

Mitro’s had a thing with PKs this season. Good win for FFC- not at their best but still getting a full 3 in a game that they should get all 3. That’s how you stay safe from relegation drama. 25 points at 17 matches is incredible for the club. Jedi a big reason. FFC fans argue about which player is the most important after Mitro. It’s a hard list to make, but Jedi is in the mix (he’s good and, like Mitro, Fulham really have no good solutions if Jedi misses a match - they all agree that Fulham need to send Kurzawa back and buy another LB in January).

FFC was a bit ragged and the table may flatter a bit, but they string together very decent footie play at times. That AR can get forward and be dangerous with the ball is a big part of that.

wish his skill level with the ball was a little bit better.

I'm sure he does as well - but it ain't bad at all. He's landing fairly solidly at a very decent technical level, a bit late in his career.

Even Argentina, France, Brazil etc. don’t have a great left back.

Um... Theo and Mendy ain't chopped liva. AR ain't Hernandez, Alphonso, Mendy level, but he's done his part to contributed to Fulham's success. He's only 25- if his wheels don't go flat he's gonna stay at a top flite club for a good while if he wishes.

No, it's really not that difficult of a list to make. The two most important players for Fulham this season have been Mitro and Joao Palhinha and nobody else comes particularly close. As for Robinson, he's had a solid season but he's not even Fulham's best FB...that's been Kenny Tete.

There are certainly question marks surrounding Kurzawa, but "all" do not agree that he needs to be sent back and that Fulham need a new LB this window. The most important to person to disagree with this is Marco Silva. He's made it pretty clear he thinks that once healthy Kurzawa can do a job for the team and while Silva IS in the market for a backup fullback this January, he's looking for a RB as Kevin Mbabu has been a bust.

Tete is awesome, no doubt, but I believe that Jedi has more MotM votes on Friends of Fulham over the season. Still, I'm super happy to have Tete healthy and starting. He brings more offense to Fulham as he is a better fit with the Fulham front line. Jedi is not a good LB for a team with Mitro (as Jedi's crosses are too lofty and inaccurate) BUT Jedi is a much better defender and is (I think) a large part of why Ream's last 18 months of professional soccer have been amazing.

Kurzawa sucks. If he didn't, FFC wouldn't have been able to swing the deal they have for him. He needs to go back and FFC need a servicable backup at LB. I don't think Jedi is the second most talented player (I agree with you that it's Joao, closely followed by Leno), but I think Jedi is the second biggest hole to fill if he goes down. FFC have started playing great defense of late, but that will go to shit if Antonee gets hurt.

    FOF MotM votes...LOL

    WhoScored: Tete 6.98, Rob 6.59
    Sofascore: Tete 7.18, Rob 6.8
    FotMob: Tete 7.24, Rob 7.01

And to be clear, these don't just reflect Tete's superior offensive contributions, his defensive numbers/metrics this season have been better than Antonee's.

Huh??? I have to admit I have no idea what you mean. PSG is a huge club with a much stronger/deeper squad than Fulham. The fact that Fulham could get a player on loan from them does not, in and of itself, mean that that player "sucks". They have players out on loan at clubs like Juventus and RB Leipzig playing meaningful minutes this season.

As for Kurzawa, the jury is certainly definitely still out. It's hard to take too much from his one appearance considering everything that went wrong before and during that match (Tete injured, Palhinha suspended, Palhinha's replacement red carded 7 minutes into the match). Like I said, it certainly seems like the manager thinks that once healthy he can do a job for the club (there are reports he was very impressive during the World Cup training camp in Portugal).

Nah, DM and striker are the two biggest/hardest holes to fill if/when the starters in those positions are injured.

~15 largely forgettable minutes for Antonee in a 2-0 Fulham win. Kurzawa had the first Fulham goal.

Not his best game by any stretch. Looked a bit rattled on the ball in his own half at times. He had one awesome long ball that set Pereira on goal but it just happened to be one of few occasions where Pereira didn't make the right decision. Bummer he has to sit against Newcastle because that is a huge game but pretty cool that he and Ream are part of a top 6 EPL side right now.

Fulham are looking like this year's Top 6 party crashers and Chelski are sinking to mid-table obscurity.

SW6 Champions (at least so far). That was a fun match. Not Jedi's best, but still good enough. Announcers loved him throughout the match, but I agree with the views here that he was off.

Fulham seeking a ridiculous 5th consecutive Premier League win today at Newcastle. Odds strongly against us, but if Fulham wants to truly be a top of the table type team, they have to figure out how to get results from matches like this one (and not drop those points at the very end like they did twice in Manchester). Jedi will be imitating me and watching from home today as he serves his yellow card suspension. Kurzawa should start in his place.
