Berhalter is an idiot and is trying to save face for shit tactics..

Gio was disappointed in being told that his role would be limited after starring for the US so much this past summer and during qualifying. He admitted as much. He said that this story put out by Berhalters camp is just is a lie though designed to make him look better among those talking about contract renewal because the questions on everyones mind as to why Gio didnt play more.

In the few minutes he played he did well and created as we know he can.

According to reports, Fiorentina values Amrabat at 30M which is more than doable for us. hell, even 40M is a number we should be comfortable signing a player we desperately need.

No he didn't do well. Gio was lazy and too relaxed with the ball. He did do better against the Dutch.

I don't know much about your coach Berhalter, but what Gio did against England would have resulted in him being dropped for a significant amount of time. The laziness and lack of work rate was completely unacceptable.

Truth be told it seems we have tolerated far too much poor behaviour from our youngsters and that needs to be put an end too. We allow them far too much liberties, which top clubs rightfully call them out on

The statement I see didn't mention anything about a lie but an acknowledgement by him that he was disappointed about his limited role and that this affected his behavior.
But that's resolved now, if he takes away the right lesson, it can be a valuable experience. But this was the WC. There shouldn't be any doubt that you give 100% and do what's best for the team.

Internal stuff being deliberately leaked is shitty though.

Maybe the US coach shouldn't have aired this, but it seems he is 100% spot on. Reyna has been very lazy for a while at Club level and it was shocking to see him do the same for his country. Especially when American players nearly always all die for the shirt.

He needs a long hard look at himself and needs to Reevaluate what he wants from the game. I personally would be very happy with selling him this summer.

Being american, I cant say I disagree. He needs to grow up and can we sit around and wait on that to happen? Some of this is unfair by a coach trying to save face and keep his international job and some is probably warranted. There is a middle ground I am sure.

Gio has issues that is sure. But selling him and Bellingham this winter, or summer, wouldnt kill me.

Ounahi had been great too. Though more of an 8.
But 30 for Amrabat seems to me too low even for just a year left in his contract, and English clubs being reportedly interested.

You know, I kind of found Amrabat pretty underwhelming. He's not bad, just meh. I suppose I wouldn't mind him, but I wonder if maybe there might be a target out there under the radar who could really grow into that 6.

I hope they bring back Gundogan tbh. Dahoud, Ozcan, Can, and Kamara... hmmm, a little bland, but maybe not so bad.

    Watzke's contract expires next year.

I sincerely hope he steps down and is succeeded by a more ambitious CEO.

    Pathetic.
He should be motivating the team and saying we are going for the league.

How can you blame any player for wanting to leave the club when that's the level of ambition?

Fortunately Borussia has Kehl now, who seems to be much more ambitious:

Players have probably more contract with him than Watzke?

Good. That's the attitude we need. His signings could be better, but at least he is determined to win.

Interesting that Kehl's comment came right after Watzke's.

Reus extended for another year, now finally win the title.
Do the same for Hummels and focus completely on the remaining games instead of some side stories.

It's possible to win the remaining games. Brandt after his hot phase and Reus weren't as strong recently but it was offset by other players like Malen entering their hot phase. We need all of them in top form.

I think Hummels wants a move abroad, MLS specifically.

Apparently it looks like Bellingham is going to join Madrid. However, yesterday was an eye opener. The two best technical teams in Europe are the two best.

It's also telling that Kroos and Modric even out of their prime. Kroos and Modric had a combined age of 70 and could still dominate the strongest midfield in the world. Kroos doesn't even run l, but his technical ability still gets him so far.

Sadly our manager and squad are rejecting technical football.
