One early goal and Morocco will break down I feel. They ran their socks off for 120 minutes, they can't do that again 3 days later. They already had players playing practically on one leg last game at the end.

They remind me of 2010 Uruguay.

Ramos looks taller than 6 feet. Can he score headers? I am unfamiliar with him. Didn’t watch him play before the Swiss game.

Then Ronaldo can get sub in later as a super sub. It’s time for the team to carry him. He did more than enough for Portugal.

Come on Portugal you can do it
Ronaldo tweeted: 'A group too united to be broken by external forces. A nation too brave to be intimidated by any adversary. A team in the true sense of the word, that will fight for the dream until the end!'

He’s is excellent at especially at the front post as he arrived late which as a defender is impossible to defend.

New here....but a LONG time lurker.

I have been watching this forum since the days everyone here was raving about Vaz-Te and Fabio Paim.

I have never commented because I feel its impossible to persuade fanatics to see anything beyond their point of view.

    Here my perspective...FWIW

I hope the team that played in Switzerland starts and hope Ronaldo sits. Not because I believe Ramos is a better player but simply because there is nothing to gain from him starting.

We won the game against Switzerland not because of the forwards but because for the first time in a LONG time our midfield actually controlled the game against a top 20 team.

The last time I saw our midfield play that well was when Deco and Maniche where controlling the midfield.

We have had a revolving door system since they both retired and every year we have new saviors...

Renato Sanchez, Andre Gomes, Tiago, Joao Mario and on and on....

And every year they leave Portugal only to fail at other clubs.

Felix had the game of his life. Bernardo Silva played great. William is a better fit then Neves. That's why we won. Bruno Fernandes has been absent most of this tournament. Yes he has scored but hes lost the ball more then hes controlled it.

Ramos played great but lets face it. He played great because he flew under the raider. Even Andre Silva scored a hat trick for Portugal once.

Ronaldo shouldn't start because the last year has beaten the killer instinct he had. He is doubting himself and because of this his final touch and reaction time is suffering.

If he comes in because Portugal is losing the weight on his shoulders will be to somehow save Portugal. He has carried that weight for 18 years.

He's literally the highest rated player at the tournament thus far, according to a number of websites.

Looks like Neves is playing instead of William.
Im guessing because he’s more offensive and has a better long ball?

Morocco will play a 5-5 and park the bus

This is going to be a very hard game. Traditionally we struggle against teams that sit back and defend as a block

Whether Ronaldo starts or not, he will be getting playing time. Ronaldo is two international caps away from being FIFA’s all-time international capped player.

I prefer William in our midfield has He give us more protection aerially and he wins and breaks other teams attacks

Not sure why the change tbo unless he has some strategy in mind against this opponent different than the last one. That being said, at least he left everyone else the same .

Man nerves are settling in, let's go boys

Back in the day my avó had these shot glasses shaped like boots, we called it 'getting the boot'.

I could use a boot right now

Yes Morocco gonna sit deep and Neves can rip long shots if we need to. Something Spain never did for example
