I think the two most confident fan groups on Twitter have been Brazil and USA. Maybe that’s just my perception but they’ve both had a lot of ‘belief’ in their team.
Winner of Netherlands v Argentina will be favourites IMO. Rightly or wrongly Croatia will be deemed the ‘easier’ semi-final. Unless Morocco shock the world again.
What a load of sh1te!! The worst display of reffing from the ever useless English referee He failed to punish all the ridiculously cynical Croatian tackles , failed to give that handball penalty .. in fact the guy was booked then handled unintentionally in the box ( still a penalty though ) then committed two more bookable fouls that went unpunished . Then the ref fell for a ridiculous dive to get Casemiro booked that reduced his effectiveness . Moderic body checked and stamped on his teammates ( Rodrygos foot halting a breakaway attack and left the Brazilian limping - Modric not even booked The only bonus was it makes it more easier for us to win the World Cup ! I hate those bloody Croatians
Croatia still haven't won a knockout match at the World Cup in 90 minutes since 1998.— Chelsea Youth (@chelseayouth) December 9, 2022
If we're talking about shock results you have to consider Brazil-Germany in 2014. No surprise Germany could win but the manner of it was shocking.
That is true. I don’t remember pre 2006 World Cup’s matches (The only 2002 matches I can remember is the England vs Nigeria and Denmark. 2002 was quite the World Cup I wish I could remember it more. Germany v Argentina in 2010 was a shock score. I went out and didn’t watch it and remember being shocked by the result.
Didn’t see the whole game but I did see Neymar viciously kick Brozovic and was lucky not to see a straight red, ironically I don’t think Oliver even booked him.
Fight. Shit ref. He won’t be getting any more matches, Argentina very lucky to be not be down at least one man.
