I still hate that they never won anything.

Here's a classic picture of visitors to the great Shrine of St. Raymond...

That gym was loud as hell. It seats about half as many as their current home out in the suburbs, but that slanted roof/ceiling made pretty much all the noise go straight down to the court.

This video was suggested to me for some reason. Apparently it was a big controversy Down Undah back in 1981

I've seen that before. I always assumed that if the situation had been reversed, the Aussie's batsman would have started beating the nearest kiwi.

I was expecting a bat flip and then the Kiwi charging the bowling circle or whatever it's called. Wouldve been justified.

So genteel too. "We regret to inform you that we're gonna bowl an undaahm, mate, because we want to seal this victory"

it’s still referred to even today as the totem for anytime someone does something that is shameful and deeply immoral yet legal.

Sticking your Holden Statesman key into the pitch, as is tradition.

Richie Benaud welcomed viewers to the MCG for the third one-day match against New Zealand in the best-of-five final of the World Series Cup and reminded us that it was one game all. He then showed us the team cards and threw to Tony Greig out in the middle.

Tony’s pitch reports were my favourite part of the broadcast. Often they would start with the camera close in on Tony’s ever-so-slightly flared trousers and handmade light brown leather shoes as he discussed pitch soil and grass varieties and how they were likely to affect the game. He then took us to his weather wall, a mind-blowingly futuristic device that measured wind direction, wind speed, air temperature, humidity, barometric pressure and everyone’s favourite – ‘The Players’ Comfort Level’.

Once that was out of the way, his show-stopping closer was to stick his key into the pitch. Sometimes the key wouldn’t break the surface (“No way in the world it’ll go in”). Other times, he’d grunt and groan and force it in (“Well, that’s almost impossible”). And then there were the times the key would go in like the pitch was warm butter (“Look at that. Straight in”). Then was also the time at the WACA when Tony lost one of his keys down a six-inch crack in the pitch and ground staff had to come out with long wire to retrieve it.

Damn fun place to watch hoops. When I was in Chicago in the 90s, I'd go to about 6 DePaul women's games there. Even with about 2500 fans (barely over 1/3rd full) it was loud AF.

    And a great building.

Now that you mention it, I have seen it. Probably here.

I don't use an ignore list. It's a bitch-made thing to do IMO. Somebody speaks out of ignorance, you correct them if they're willing to learn.

Reading threads with ignored content is like a bad out of body experience. I just scroll past those folks.

I would never order this. I hate spicy food.

Is that what I said the last time this was posted? I always have a feeling like I might be plagiarizing someone, including myself, when I post.

I very rarely use it, and only if somebody is extremely annoying and posts often enough that scrolling by them is difficult.

Like that guy schapes who only posted variations on “another Obama failure” repeatedly, I eventually put him on ignore. I can handle wrong, but not hopelessly stupid and repetitive.
