I mean.. KFA hated Hiddink bc they couldn't control him. Remember how Hiddink used the media to select players he wanted by announcing the squad first before the actual selection date? That's the kind of BS our managers need to go thru with KFA.

I personally don't want him to come back bc of 냄비근성 in Korea. He will be a public enemy if we dont make it to the round of 16. Remember how CBK almost had to move out of Korea after he failed as a manager even though he was everyone's hero as a player? I want him to stay as a legend.

Even though I am generally against conspiracy theory I can agree on this one.
Even in politics, Koreans are prone to lying if they see some holes to safety in case it is exposed.
"haven't heard" is a very typical lie because they can pretend to be innocent and claim they did not know at the time. These lies happened many times during the last election.

Read somewhere that Kim YG has his eyes on WC 2026 if the NT continue to build on their performance. Man is trying to become the Korean Pepe.

I think he was great this World Cup and he is firmly a Korean football legend… but when I tried to look up some unrelated Kleague highlights I see him breaking youngster Maeng Seongung’s face with a brainless tackle just a couple months ago. Hopefully we have some talented young CB that can transition into his spot lol

KFA offered an explanation for the trainer situation.
The main problem appears to be that Ahn has no certification. KFA needs it if they want to officially hire him.
KFA still offered money but Ahn refused.

That is what they say. They might have been lying here and there but I think that is roughly what happened. I can see why - though not necessarily approve it - doctors were concerned.

꿀수들 ...they are coming out in droves.

Don't know if Ahn has a proper license or what is required to be a sports therapist in Korea but many comments are using that as the sticking point to counter the post. guess they are afraid to deal with the heart of the matter.

Typical KFA. Surprise surprise. There is no hope for korean football if these fckers are in-charge of korean football.

In hindsight, KFA made a good choice in Bento so despite the dysfunction they did something right. Hope that will happen again.

The KFA was already working on a contract extension as soon as we qualified for the WC, then they offered him the 1+3 back in September to which Bento rightfully declined.

Knowing the KFA and their scumbaggery, Bento most likely didn't even give it a second thought on his decision after they done fucked it up with the contract.

A lot of us have been following the knt for as long as we can remember, but the KFA hasn't changed its ways or has changed anything other than a mere logo. Also seeing how that idiot Kim Byung-ji is currently receiving heavy flak from the public just goes to show you the ineptitude and the piss poor handling of the current hiring process for Bento's successor.

Perhaps he felt that his job wasn't done with the knt hence eyeing another opportunity at the 2026 WC with the goal being to make it to the quarterfinals.

It's interesting because he came to Korea with the intention of reviving his management career and to head back to Europe to manage a club team once his job was done, so we'll never know where he truly stood regarding the knt. Currently it's being reported that he's likely headed to one of the big club teams in Europe and insisted that he's likely to take his Korean staff members along with him.

As bento said, K league and KFA don't care about korean football. They just care about the money and sponsors.

For those blind ppl who just cant accept the fact that we are behind Japan now..

HIB… and now KMJ says the same thing:
    https://n.news.naver.com/sports/qatar2022/article/076/0003950293

Pretty sure players themselves are the ones who dont wanna say they are behind Japan.. but they want to improve things so they are being really honest these days.
