I feel it is a bit mental that Lisandro doesn’t start every match, can I ask why you’re okay with him as a sub?

they are saying De Paul wasnt training on par with the rest of them, might be with some kind of discomfort

Di Maria training ok, everything pointing out for him to be a starter, he seems to be at 100%, which is great news imo

I think that this is very telling about Scaloni. He is a manager that now wants to maximize every source of power available to him. To which, he is using the media to try to trick the Dutch. . . no way that Scaloni is not playing RDP and doubtful that Acuna doesn't play.

This is very "Bill Belichick-ish" from Scaloni.

Lol Scaloni would quit before benching De Paul.

Well, RDP finally had a good match. He’s our workhorse that does pretty much everything. But let’s remember, his passing has been quite bad and he’s had giveaways. With Enzo, perhaps the work rate might be at that level, still could be if asked but the passing would be more crisp and I do not think he’d have those giveaways. So, there’s a lot to think about. Rodrigo is an important player though. I do wonder if this is just mind games.

maybe what was needed to see Paredes and Enzo together in the lineup since Maca is untouchable status

So there's a good chance if we advance, he will be available for the Semi's.

Our Messi,Celso, Depaul and Paredes dynamic the team had for 3 years, always had to have drama. Argentina always getting hurt. 8 /

Yeah, should not be a problem. I believe he will be back.

I’m still confident in our squad to defeat this Dutch side. The last 2.5 matches, we’ve picked it up a bit. Outside of that 10-15 minute v the Aussies, we’ve looked comfortably and did not face any threat. People just look at that short spell and conclude it is doom and gloom. We are better than this Dutch side.

I've been reading a lot of previews about the match and it is shocking how many are picking the Dutch. I know Vegas odds have us winning, but I feel like we are being slept on.

I wouldn't be surprised if Molina and Acuna are getting extra rest and that is their reason for missing training. Especially Acuna, we need him at 100% health, or as close as possible.

Montiel looked so so bad in the minutes he had vs. Mexico. I would be very worried if Montiel gets any time.

Tag is serviceable, I know he had a horrible error against Australia but otherwise he is not so bad.

Well, Vegas is what kinda matters in these type of things. I’ve also looked at some reports, and places like AS, 90 minutes and the Athletic have all picked us to win. We’re going to be fine.

Messi, Papu, de Paul, Paredes were on a Twitch stream with Kun a few minutes ago. When Messi first started talking (around 20:30) there was some mention of Dybala and Scaloni. I don't understand Spanish well so I have no idea what was said, but I'm very curious:

I’m reading that De Paul could miss the rest of the WC. He would be unavailable vs Holland and a potential semifinal, only possibly making it for a hypothetical final (and that would be with him rushing recovery and arriving with minimal training)

Oh wow, that is terrible. Man, we have been hit hard this WC. At least we have other players capable of stepping up.

    All of these have suffered.

    Lo Celso
    Nico Gonzalez
    Dybala
    Paredes
    Cuti
    Lautaro
    Di Maria

    Et tu RDP???

Luis Enrique says that Argentina has the best fans. He also said that it puts a tremendous amount of pressure on the players and that it might be overall negative. What do you think?

Overloaded muscle. Same thing as Di Maria but maybe not as serious.
