Sadly that is entirely feasible Oddly enough Neymar jetted in his personal hairdresser from Paris the other day just to give him that blonde rinse for the game
Six of the eight quarterfinalists have coaches in their second cycle (five of those consecutively). https://t.co/Lfk4q8dVLr— Matthew Doyle (@MattDoyle76) December 7, 2022 I believe the two who are not are Morocco's coach and Argentina. Van Gaal is on his third non-consecutive go around.
Need England's luck to run out before I see my relatives from London in February... What is "luck" as it relates to xG? Some would say it's any difference between the expected and the actual. I think it's the things you can't control - opponent shot conversion and opponent GK performance. With that in mind - who are the "luckiest" teams in the tournament so far? pic.twitter.com/YHeCW5Vadh— Paul Harvey (@Thundering165) December 7, 2022 Most quarterfinal teams are either WC-winning powerhouses (Brazil, Argentina, France, England) or in the second tier that can compete for big trophies (Netherlands, Portugal, Croatia)... the only 1 of 8 that is NOT is Morocco, do they have a second cycle coach or newer hire?
Yes, they also brought same guy in for qualifiers. Grant Wahl interviewed the barber for his podcast back in summer, I think. Interesting story.
A chef too https://www.espn.com/soccer/united-states-usa/story/4805846/meet-the-usmnt-world-cup-chef-in-qatar
Croatia are very good at just hanging around... just hanging around... Notably, "just hanging around" is exactly what the US didn't do against the Netherlands.
I can't believe they're doing this at their age. Just crazy. That is not a young team. Pretty awesome to stretch out this generation through a third World Cup. Bummed for my Brazil bets but at least I hedged a little (Croatia U.5, Under Game Total, No goal first 27 minutes, Croatia +1.5). I just thought it would be 1-0, 2-0, 2-1. Should have realized 0-0 was a much more distinct possibility than I thought. Any thoughts on the claim for a penalty in the early 2nd half? I didnt see it.
As much as I love a good underdog story, please not another France v Croatia final (after 3 straight extr time/penalty games).....
Brazil's flaw is that they don't want to work. Croatia know that the first rule of being an underdog is that you can't beat yourself.
