I found it hilarious to stand in front of a huge banner of him promoting their Tourism campaign after they lost the opener against them. Huge promotional banner in the subway for my daily commute.
I read somewhere that Argentina is hoping to host the same WC Saudi Arabia is bidding for. Messi in the middle. The continental rotation was scrapped in 2018 I think.
The 2030 WC Finals will be the centennial year of the first WC Finals hosted in Uruguay. Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and Paraguay are bidding for it. They are probably the sentimental favorite to host it, but it won't happen. The hosting rights are not decided by a vote among all football associations, I think. COMMEBOL only has 6 votes (the hosts cannot vote) and possibly the support from some CONCACAF countries. How many votes can they get? Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia is planning to co-host with Egypt and Greece. That bid will most likely get most of AFC votes. Morocco is also bidding. At this moment, they are the only bid without a co-host. Can they host a 47 team tournament by themselves? So Egypt might receive most of CAF votes. The Spain-Portugal-Ukraine bid will get most of the UEFA votes, but Greece might steal a few UEFA votes from South European countries. They can easily generate 80 or more votes before the vote even starts. And then, Saudi Arabia has the financial means to influence votes from many many countries.

At this point the NFL will bypass football in Europe in about 10 years and I won't even be mad at it. We've got the grave diggers of the sport all in prime positions. The wolves in charge of protecting the sheep.

I'm sure that was true, at that time, this is a different time and a different Ronaldo, who may still think he's 2013 Ronaldo, but of course he's not.

Neuer suffered a small facture while skiing and he's out for the season. He turns 37 in March. Bayern might as well look for long term replacement in January.
