Morocco will be tough with the whole stadium behind them. Who gets to choose the home outfit?
Their colours look similar, Portugal should just pretend that the stadium is full of Portuguese fans lol

You're talking about Yakin and the Swiss players being sick? Man, why do we as portuguese fans can't enjoy a performance like this for 2 hours before someone comes and says his players were not ok?

The local Swiss were checking who they will play next, they were confident that they would beat Portugal lol I was so pumped last night.

I felt really sorry for Ronaldo. I hope he bangs in some goals playing whatever role he gets now. Sad to see that the end might be near. He gave us some fantastic memories, so deserves respect and not hate.
He did celebrate with the team, things are getting blown up out of proportion by the media. He is a born winner, so not easy for him, but he is still a Portuguese football hero! Siiiiii!

Exactly, France-England is basically a toss-up whereas Portugal is expected to reach the SF. Once the semis are set, Portugal likely won't be expected by statistical models like 538 to reach the final over their opponent.

Ramos, Felix, Bernardo and Fernandes did some serious pressing this game.

just watching the game again and Ramos ram all the way back to defend an attack that Ronaldo would never attempt. Impressive

Next time Ronadlo farts, the media will say it was directed at Santos.

This was at the end of the celebrations, he went to say thanks to the fans and left. There were 4 or 5 people that went right behind him to do the same, some seem like they had already left.

If anything, I'm positively surprised how he handled it so far.

Still buzzin' from yesterday... Just incredible scenes for us! Well deserved and we must continue this way.

Cut Ronaldo some slack, he deserves that at the very least! He's carried us for many years, maybe it would be fitting for the team to step up and "carry him" ? This is a team, this is for the nation of Portugal. Screw the media and the hate!

All that matters, is to reach the finals and win the WORLD CUP! I STILL BELIEVE!!!

    Força Portugal!!!

Yes agreed. A little more than half the battle done.

I pray to baby Jesus that the boys can maintain this form and really take it to Morocco and beyond

That's what i have been trying to say. Morocco are playing like they are the hosts of the tournament with the support they have with travelling fans and from Qatari natives.

We have a hostile away game to win against a solid team with a low-block. It's going to be tough.

Jogo a jogo guys. Morocco won't be pressing us man to man like the Swiss did, they'll look to sit back, break up our midfield and counter with lots of pace. So we'll have to be patient on the ball.

If we make it to semis, it's 'jogo a jogo' mentality. We've beaten the English and the French before. With the right mentality we can do it again.

Apparently a virus was circulating in the hotel where the Swiss team was staying and it affected some of the players, according to the Swiss NT director of football.

Maybe someone threw some rotten bacalhau in their food.

Morocco are better than Swiss, they are well coached and have no fear… Portugal must sustain pressure bc they’ll surely want to play for PK.

I did not but Mark Clattenburg or whatever his name is, the English referee commenter, said we should get tons of yellows. What a tool that guy is.

They've been more effective playing their style at this tournament than Switzerland, but I wouldn't call them better.

In 4 matches, their xGD is about -1 and their actual GD is +3. They've managed to draw Croatia, beat Canada and draw Spain without ever producing better than 0.5 xG in any of those three matches (they did better against Belgium w/ 1.5 xG).

That's called riding your luck. What're they going to do if/when they finally fall behind on Saturday?

You must be high. He clearly told the players to come applaud the fans and then left. On to the next one. The teams that celebrate round of 16 or qfs or semis are the ones that lose the next game. Let's be calm and only celebrate the game that puts a star on the jersey is his attitude and I love it.
