Spain's Tiki-taka passing is getting old and predictable.....

Someone needs to sign Morocco's GK, Yassine Bounou or Bono!

Spain and Morocco are only a strait apart, but Morocco has the most intense soccer culture I've ever seen. I guess it's not that surprising they outlasted Spain. Por-Sui is turning into the bloodbath I expected from the first game.

Funny how Group E cannot take PKs.

I am glad that Spain is eliminated. No more boring soccer of 1000 passes that gets no wear. It’s kind of like how SJ played under Covelo. Please don’t repeat it here.

    First day without any games!

    Arrgghh! :(

Interesting that only 3 players on their roster play in the The Botola Pro or the Moroccan professional league....

When Spain won the WC, they had David Villa (and I don’t remember who else) to finish off the attack. I loved watching that guy run backwards in a big circle, it seemed so joyful. Maybe if Spain had an exceptional forward like that, the tiki taka would still work?

It’s interesting the lack of great forwards in the USA (and maybe even this WC). I wonder if today’s emphasis on teamwork and egalitarianism is also weeding out the best forwards. Because it seems like the best forwards are usually (not always) narcissistic a**holes. (Brian McBride would be an exception.) Discuss…

Wasn't that even a point Roy made (and even defended to a point ) to Ted sometime during the second season of Ted Lasso?

    As would Chris Wondolowski. :)

I saw a headline that read something like "Spain, so great at passing, fails when they actually have to shoot." Cracked me up
I know! It's disturbing. What am I going to have to distract me from work?

Mmmm, missed that reference. Altho, the thought is not original to anyone, I’m sure…

Good point, forgot Wondo, altho i was thinking of international-level forwards…

Because of Wondo's missed shot against Belgium in WC 2014? :(

Goncalo Ramos Current market value on the transfermarkt is: €24.00m

I'm betting it will double in Janaury.

Haha, that was a great clip. I forgot all about that scene until the ending, where Roy tells Jamie to look for the sign that he can be a pr*ck.

I didn’t think of Wondo initially because I was thinking of internationally known forwards like Zlatan, Ronaldo, the Brazilian Ronaldo, Haaland, Pele, Thierry Henry, Anelka, etc. Even tho Wondo has the best MLS stats, I don’t think he makes that list…

Now if I try to think of “American” MLS forwards who are a**holes regardless of level of accomplishment, well i guess there is Dom Dwyer… and I don’t know —- Clint Mathis? Lenny was a handful on the field but apparently like Wondo, a laidback guy off the pitch.
