So now that Ronaldo is OK with being a super sub. Should Perez go for him? :p

I meant his reaction that apparently got him dropped for this game.

Damn, wish Cristiano was onside there.

Physically he just can't consistently keep up. No shame in it, on his day he was the best.

Last kick of a dying horse. Wish he declined without the antics.

    We all knew he couldn't..

That ego and personality was the driving factor for his greatness.

No self respecting team loses 6-1 in a knockout WC match.

He behaved fine off the bench. Santos made a tactical decision. Portugal is through. Ronaldo is not shit. Tired narrative

Is this the end for Cristiano? Maybe MLS?
Ibra spent a season there and then came back to play in Milán and he is two years older if I am not mistaken

Switzerland usually have more fight than this. They set up completely wrong imo. Should have set up the way they did against Brazil. Could probably have gone into extra time if they did.

Nail in the coffin was when their only good player Embolo was subbed out. Like wtf you doing idiot

I love Pepe, ageless player who still has it. What a warrior.

João Felix take a bow. Dude is either best player on the pitch or the worst.

    Agree with everything here.
Absolutely love Pepe. Man is the definition of a warrior and is as good as any CB out there. Legend, who hasn`t gotten his flowers due to his low key profile.

As for Felix, I have not seen a dribbling performance in the middle of the park at this level since Zidane vs Brazil 06

Can’t believe I’m saying it but the Portuguese squad have outgrown him.

Ronaldo is still very useful as a super sub vs tired legs. And easily their best aerial threat. We’ll see if he embraces the role.

Nah. This is a WC. You need a guy like Ronaldo when the going gets tough.

When the team need a goal against a parked bus, yes. It’s easier to sub Ronaldo in than out should the game go to pks.

Ronaldo starts next match v Morocco. It’s going to be 10 men behind the ball and he’ll be important to try and win crosses against.

Coach said he was unhappy with Ronaldo's petulant reaction when he was subbed in the group stage game. With Ramos scoring a hat-trick, I don't see Ronaldo being a starter again. Ron burning all the bridges at club and NT level with petulant reactions.

Yeah it's either you let Messi win or you're a despicable monster for not giving him what he "deserves".

    A deplorable narrative.

Was Ramos a replacement for Nunez in Benfica?
