And now the 4th. The Swiss are going to have to Buck up if they want to get to PKs.

    there’s a start at 4-1.

I didn't realize that Pepe was still part of the Portuguese side. Such a dirty player.

That's a lot of faith in an average Netherlands team.

I know but there's got to be one that goes against the odds. And I like the Dutch.

Last time I saw Holland play the Argies I was on a barge on the Rhine sitting with the Dutch crew watching the WC’78. Sad night for them.

Yes, 1 minute left before it went to extra time and Rob Rensenbrink hits the post. Game of inches indeed.

    Interesting internet facts and stats.

Since winning the World Cup in 2010, Spain haven’t won a knock-out match at the World Cup Finals.

Since winning the World Cup in 2014, Germany haven’t played in a knock-out match at the World Cup Finals.

Since winning the World Cup in 2006, Italy haven’t played in a knock-out match at the World Cup Finals. (In that time, they’ve reached at least the QFs of every Euros, winning it once & losing in the Final once).

The next chance Italy have to play in a World Cup knock-out match will be 20 years after Zidane’s headbutt.

Argentina are playing The Netherlands soon…

“The worst manager he has ever had? He’s one of the few players with this opinion. I find it sad he said this. Memphis [Depay] had to deal with it too at Manchester [United], and now we kiss each other on the mouth” – Louis van Gaal hits back at Ángel Di María’s criticism.

Pretty sure we all expect Brazil to beat Modric and the Croats (will Lovren get some PT?)… but who will make it through between LaOranje and the Argies? :cautious:o_O

The Oranje have looked better with Memphis back in full time, but I don't expect the Argies to leave him completely uncovered 12 yards from goal like some other team did...:(
