What ever happened to a fast run up and kicking the ball with power?

    100%

You need to be real good to do what he does. Just hope when he gets caught, it's past this WC.

Spain knocked out of the last three major tournaments on penalties.

I've been high on this Morocco team since their first game. Seems like every world cup there's a team that plays disciplined defense and manages to exceed expectations with that D. They practically had a home advantage with their traveling fans, plus they're now carrying the Arab banner.

I could see Morocco doing the job again in the quarterfinal, whether vs Portugal or Switzerland. They could even give France or England a shock.

Potential problem for Morocco is if they do somehow fall behind in a match, where will the goals come from?

Spain losing is not something surprises me. I posted before even World Cup that Spain would be eliminated sooner than expected.

Damn, that is terrible pk shoot out. Miss when Iniesta, Pique, Ramos took them.

Well my top two favorites in Brazil and Argentina are still alive but I was hoping to have a "top" team on the other side of the bracket to root for and be an obstacle for France so I'll just have to go with England now :cautious:

Their campaign was truly a straight arrow down for Spain since they ran over Costa Rica in the first game .

Looks like Morocco over Spain will be the only non-chalk result in the R16.

Portugal will likely show more steel against Morocco than Spain did unfortunately. It feels like Spain was one World Cup too young this time around. I have a hard time believing Portugal can beat France though but I'm not sure about England.

I will take Brazil/Argentina vs. Portugal instead of France tbh. I would take England over both though on the other side of the bracket. I just want the "easiest" realistic opponent on that side for either Brazil or Argentina (with respect to Croatia and Netherlands).

Portugal play so much better without that popular guy.
