Horrible penalties by Japan. Not as bad as Netherlands in Euro 2000, but close. Although I'm not sure we would have done any better. I think the best penalty show I've ever seen remains Germany against England in Euro 96. They could have taken penalties for a week without missing. Croatia are a cunning team that usually finds a way. Congrats to them.
Those are the worst penalty kicks I've ever seen. Japan has always been disastrous at these in my experience at least
Choke job by the Japanese on PKs. Soft kicks, mostly near the middle. The Croatian keeper guessed well, but they made it easy for him.
Derek Rae is unlistenable with his goofy overpronunciation of every name and uncanny accent. It doesn't sound like normal human speech.
Japan's PKs were bad, especially the 1st one. But, my favorite was the Croatian one that went of the post. Guy approached and struck that ball like he was playing kick about with his 3-year-old. It's the World Cup, Man
