Earning credibility from you is the least of my concern. So you are saying Blacks will not say "Black Americans are diverse and you cannot generalize from blah blah blah". You should not generalize Nazi either. I am sure there were more than just 1 Schindler.
Our best defender is injured and best attacker is playing with a fractured eye socket. Brazil's best attacker has recovered from injury. Brazil rested their A team in their last match, they are well rested compared to us. In the 1st half, Poland played well against France but, their stamina flagged in the 2nd. Same could happen to us if we don't have a tactical solution. Can we capitalise one of our chances and score early? Coming from behind is a tall order, especially when its game 4 in a period of 2.5 weeks. So far in the R16 Netherlands, Argentina, France and England all scored 1st and won. Can we use our substitutions strategically to ensure our team remains competitive for the whole match? All 5 has to be used but when and who. SHM, LKI, LJS start and HHC, CGS 2nd half? At half time or at 60min? What about HUJ who scored against Brazil in June? Only chance I see is, that we score early, park the bus (not everyone in the box defence but a tight back and middle line that moves as a unit) and counter attack. A tactic which Bento has not been seen to utilise in the last 4 years. However, perhaps he will surprise us again and change from his ways. For me its obvious he has to.
I believe the Swiss did this against Brazil, they kept their back and middleline close and moved together as a unit and contained Brazil well. Perhaps parking the bus is not the rigth way to describe what i want us to do. We have to do what the Swiss did. And score a goal early which they failed.
pls do not feed. No one here gives a sh!t what this guy has to say. Keyboard Warrior fighting his good fight.
Agreed. I can't even begin to express what an early goal would mean for us. Also a very anecdotal observation that Brazil seem to thrive when they feel comfortable and are able to express themselves through creative passing and taking on defenders 1v1. In other words, when you start to see the tricks and flicks, you're in trouble as they are in their element. Our defenders don't know a feint from a fart so frustrating them and causing them to play more directly could provide an advantage for us.
Takle hard. Fair but hard tackles. I heard that against Portugal, whilst KJS was having a real hard time in the 1st half and we were being exposed, in the second half when SHM and LJS switched wings, LJS was able to help out KJS more than SHM (for obvious reasons) and Portugal stopped finding success down that side. Wonder, if thats going to change how we line up today.
Yeah that switch in the second half made a huge impact. Dalot took full advantage of the space left by Kim Jin-su (though tbf, Kim Jin-su bombing forward was a deliberate / tactical move). In the second half, Lee Jae-sung did well to bring balance to our left side, which is evidenced by the stats too. Tale of two halves: Dalot made two successful crosses into the box in open play in the first half. None in the second. Portugal's attack was 40% on our left side in the first half. 30% in the second. Kim Jin-su made two successful tackles in the first half. Five in the second half. But today more than our left side, Kim Moon-hwan is going to be extremely busy...lol
Brazil XI: Alisson, Danilo, Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Eder Militao, Lucas Paqueta, Casemiro, Vinicius Junior, Neymar, Raphinha, Richarlison
