While I don't think he's gonna be sold by Arsenal I think several trams in Europe will be calling about Matt Turner's availability.

Plenty of talk about Inter Milan tracking Jedi and wanting to sign him if they can sell Robin Gosens.

Musah was already linked to all the big clubs in Italy.

Weah had some interest from Spain and Italy before the world cup bet he gets more now

If Madrid is smart, they go in for Adams now while he's still relatively cheap.

Jessie does not get to to decide transfers policies.

The right offer comes in, Leeds will accept it, and there's nothing Jessie can do about it.

Yup, he hasn't shown yet that his skill on the ball can lead to goals. In fact, sometimes it seems like he even stalls and stymie's his own team's attack.

I doubt he's earned that privilege.

If another club comes in and paid Leeds twice what they paid for Adams, what you think the answer going to be?

If a club offers 50 mil for Adams and they value him at 75……. Leeds. Leeds will say no

Musah will get a big money move to England. The British media loved him and it helps that as far as they're concerned he's English. I'm not sure anyone else earned more than a sideways move. Adams was impressive but he's making a lot of money at a club that's desperate to matter again.

    NEEDS A MOVE:
-Christian Pulisic needs a transfer. He’s got the talent. But he’s held back at Chelsea. Of all the players on our roster, he’s the one who needs a move this window.
-Jesus Ferreira did not do well in his 45 minutes, but he’s the only MLS’er who needs to go abroad soon. And he needs to do so in this window. Go while you’re young, please. Do not stagnate in MLS!
-Tim Weah is one player that I think he could improve his chances at his club, but I also think a move would be good for him right now. Go somewhere that values you as a forward or winger. He’s been at Lille long enough that a move would be good for him.

    MAYBE:
    -Yunus Musah
is probably high on a lot of people’s Watchlist. He doesn’t need a move. Valencia is still a good level and he’s still improving there, and he has a coach who seems to believe in him. So, he should only move if it’s a better fit.
-I never know what’s going on with Weston McKennie. One minute he’s going to be sold. Another he’s a key player for Juventus. Main thing is he needs to heal and get back some form/fitness. I don’t think he needs to go this winter. But he should explore if a move is in his best interest in the winter.
-Luca de la Torre did not get any minutes at the WC to make a case, and he just arrived at Celta, but he needs to be considering a move. His career has took a dip since going to Celta. First, he’s been cemented to the bench. Second, he’s been injured. That said, there’s no shame in trying to fight it out and make a decision in the summer. But honestly, a loan would help rejuvenate his career.

    NOT NOW:
-Gio Reyna, Brenden Aaronson, Joe Scally, Josh Sargent, Haji Wright, Jedi Robinson, Ethan Horvath, Cameron-Carter-Vickers, and Tim Ream are good where they’re at.
-I think Tyler Adams deserves a move, but I don’t know if that would be best for him right now. If I were him, I’d give it at least until the summer. People know him now. He’s in a great club situation, at the moment. No need to rock the boat in the winter.
-Matt Turner just got to Arsenal. Clubs will know him now. I’d say, for his career development, he doesn’t need to transfer or loan just yet, unless it’s the right club situation. But I would definitely plan a move in the summer, even if just a loan.

    MLS IS THEIR LEVEL:
-I don’t know if Kelyn Acosta wants to go to Europe or not. He probably could carve out a respectable career in Belgium or Holland, but he’s older now, and I see him just staying where he’s at.
-Walker Zimmerman is too old to go to Europe. The rest of the MLS guys, Jordan Morris, Cristian Roldan, Aaron Long, Shaq Moore, and Sean Johnson are not at that next level, and MLS is probably their ceiling. Same for DeAndre Yedlin who is in the late stages of his career.

Acosta at least has a year left on his contract and has said at different times he very much wants a European move.

Long is a free agent and I could see him moving to the Championship.

I don't think Zimmerman is too old to go to Europe. He's still in his 20's. McBride had cups of coffee in Europe prior, but ultimately was 30 before he moved permanently from Columbus post WC. They both play(ed) older positions. Also, Besler had EPL relegation battler offers in his late 20s post WC. I could see the same for Zimm. A lot is going to depend on how amenable Nashville & Walker himself are.

Turner is a candidate. I think half the teams in the EPL would want him as their starter ideally. Arsenal could get 20+ million I think. They paid a 3rd of that. Depends on how much Gunners value Europa League, Cups, or a great stand-in for Ramsdale. I also do think there's a 20-25% chance he eventually overtakes Ramsdale. So maybe that's enough for Matt to be caught in limbo for a while.

Other than that, I think Adams, Weah, Pulisic, & Musah are the ones who elevated their statuses. But they are in semi-favorable club situations from one standpoint or another. Weah and Pulisic are the ones most likely to move in January because another club of similar ilk or maybe less can envision them using their abilities better than the current outfits. But individually, I could see reasons they stay, as with all these guys. There's no obvious transfer on the horizon.

Why would MLS teams want most of those guys? They play for worse teams than those in MLS & aren't playing well or don't even have much of a role for them. I don't get how this default is, if you're generically in Europe, you can always go back to MLS. No, you can always go back to the States. You're just going to play in USL.

One of the things I loved seeing the most was how well Adams played (well at least until the knockout stages!). And I don't think it's a coincidence that he played that well after moving to a team that valued his playing style, gave him the keys to the midfield for 90 minutes, all in a great league that would challenge him every week.

One reason I am so optimistic for 2026 is that we have a clear next step to get MORE players in a Adams position - being a 90 minute man in a great league (preferably in a formation that matches strengthens with the future NT formation). Like, as well as we played, many of the non-defensive players we relied on are no where near every game 90 minute players for their team. Not Pulisic, not Weah, nor Musah or McKennie.

So as good as we showed in our games this time, how much better could we look when all of our players are coming into the WC being relied upon club players, 90 minutes fit and in form? It would be beautiful.

Any to that end most of my ideal moves would be with the vision of a clear 90 minute starter path in good leagues:

    - Adams should not think about moving from Leeds at all, IMO (unless they get relegated or something like that). We literally just saw what playing 90 minutes in a team that values you can do to a players form. Adams should think about giving Leeds a great 2 seasons, establish himself as a name in England, THEN think about moving.
    - McKennie should move. Juventus looks like a mess, and he has had runs of up and down form there. He can still do a great job in a top 3 league so he needs to find a team that values what he brings and will give him 90 a game.
    - Pulsic. Of course he should move lol.
    - Musah. It looks like he will get a chance to establish himself still at Valencia, so I say STAY until he does or they give up on him.

What are you talking about? Only 3 of those players have ever gotten caps, and all of them were pretty circumstantial, when we were in total experimentation-mode or half the pool was unavailable. Since they've regressed or been exposed.

It's illogical to think teams are very interested in players not making the grade in worse leagues. If that's seriously who you'd sign as a general manager, you wouldn't last very long.

Maybe it is USL for them. Either way, maybe a change in scenery could help their career. Doesn’t mean it will. Just means it might.

I wonder how the timing of this world cup weighs in this. Summertime there's a lot of market activity and the last thing on anyone's mind is the world cup. Now the players will go back to teams where they either show their world cup form or lose the edge it gave them in the market.

You do understand this thread is about players who, you know, played in the World Cup against England, right? Did you get lost from some other thread?

Maybe you didn’t quote anything. Might be the issue. Looked like you weren’t responding to anything. Just saying random stuff out of the blue

if you were responding to something, that makes more sense than saying USMNT players would be headed to USL
