He just failed with a stacked Belgian team. I wouldn't even want to know what he would do with Mexico.
Not many, although outside of those two guys, I don't remember many young players getting minutes with the senior NT straight out of the MLS.
********ing charley coming on when Lainez is sitting at home made me ********ing rage dude What Tata did to this generation will live in infamy for the history of this national team Its beyond malpractice its ********ing criminal.
Saudi Twitter is possibly the worst twitter base I've come across. Even by twitter standards they're weird af. They're taking responsibility for "eliminating" Mexico and seem to care more about that fictitious narrative than about themselves not making it through the group.
The difference between parking the bus and a counter attacking game are extremely subtle. Many of the supposed "parking the bus" is because teams are either so bad and doing it or so inferior to the other team that they are incapable of doing the "attacking thru counter attacks and set pieces" part of the plan.
Don't know how true this is, maybe some also heard this - But on TV they were saying that Mexican fans in Qatar were giving away their tickets for the game vs the Saudi Arabia. Announcers were commenting that the Mexican fans were giving away their tickets as they couldn't bear to see their team lose again or play like crap. Anyone else hear this? I mean that's really messed up if it's true. The $$ dropped to attend Qatar and then you give away tickets??
So based on a lot of comments here, Bundesliga where we want players to go to is a shit league and only about money cause Germany is out yet again in group stages, got it
Yea there is a lot of over reacting here it’s getting out of control. irrespective of results we need to players in better leagues and find ways to produce more young talent. More importantly we need to give them opportunities to grow. It’s because we are so results oriented, we don’t allow youth talent the time and process necessary to go through growing pains and establish themselves. By just looking at results at this years cup, the bundes liga and team Belgium are trash. Add in Uruguay. Are they worst than South Korea? we all know that is not true. There is so many things to get right in order to have a successful cup and they aren’t always a reflection of the level of talent a country is producing. So I’m still behind many of the reforms that need to happen in liga Mx, even if we would have made the Quinto partido we aren’t on par with some of the countries that were eliminated early.
Why do people love discrediting Asian teams? Or is it just a fetish of South Americans? Even when they played in the knockout stage in 2010 it wasn’t an easy win for Uruguay, and that was their best team in recent years
Can’t tell if you are trolling, but the last 3 world cups speak for themselves no? The squad is also valued about 300 million more. So I think most coaches and scouts assessing the talent level would agree.
Nah we should just scrap the World Cup. Teams with the most financial value automatically get 10 points, you get an extra point for every white South American and that’s how we’ll determine the champion
Sarcasm from the guy above saying clearly Uruguay is better than South Korea. It echoes Hugo Sanchez saying ‘there’s no way Japan can beat Spain under normal circumstances so Spain must’ve thrown the game.’ It’s arrogant and ignorant of the advancement these Asian teams have made. Japan has now played better, more attractive than us for two world cups straight despite their professional league being almost a decade younger than Guillermo Ochoa. Just look at how many euro players they have, the jleague teams have always given us trouble in the cwc but people think it’s always a fluke because they’re stuck on the 80s
a 3 game series is unrealistic but probably the best gauge of what any particular team is better. A one off game you can get lucky or unlucky and win or lose it. But using 3 game series you remove quite a bit of the luck factor.
By the logic you are using , you say japans strength is a result of their performances in Cwc which demonstrates their players coming from a strong league and in addition they have a bunch of euro players boosting their quality. I agree! But this reasoning is exactly why I said Uruguay is better than a team like South Korea. They have more players in stronger leagues, more specifically Europe. So somehow that doesn’t apply anymore? I also agree with the person above, 3 match series would be better indicator, but yea that isn’t happening.
Bro are you half stupid? You obviously have to play and get results, why are you feigning stupidity to have someone explain very basic things?
